Moffat immortalised the phrase I'm a liar , honestly I am a long time ago.

I also think twins..however I think Mycroft replaced the evil twin with the actor/good one..a la the ugly duckling is now Mycrofts undercover swan.

why waste a handy unground kings corpse.....

You lost me a bit with that cultural reference.
But if you mean the real Moriarty didn't die...I could agree.

It's probably nothing, but we don't see a live action Moriarty until after the show is over.

Me, too. And I believe him, because I haven´t seen any lie yet. The faked scenes before series 3 are just a joke for me, not lies. I don´t believe that Moriarty is back. Something else must go on, maybe a new supervillain (brother or not) or part of a lecture e.g., which Mycroft gave to his brother: "Have you learned your lesson?" he is asking him while calling him back in the end. For him it would be easy to manipulate film material and TV stations.

I don´t really know if Moftiss have lied about the show before, but I do think that they have an exact vision of how everything will play out and come together and how and in what way the characters will develop in the future and I truly believe that they had this vision even before season 3. Sherlock had been an international phenomen already after season 2 and they had to know that it would be likely to be asked to make at least two or three more seasons, so I think they know exactly in which direction the show is going and what is going to happen with its main characters at least in season 4, even so the scripts aren´t written yet.

Oh, Moffit lies.  But that doesn't mean he doesn't love us.

He once said they would never bring Moriarty back.

Not saying he lies in a bad way.  He does it to play with the fans and to prevent key plot points from getting leaked.

I don´t believe that he brings Moriarty back. There is no proof yet. So again, where´s a lie?

But actually he once said Moriarty was as dead as a door nail. And now he said it was all planned beforehand. So either way, he lied once there.

I don't think Moffatt and Gatiss lie.  But I do think they parse their words very carefully. It is their job after all to be crafty, clever wordsmiths. That is why we love their work.

So I think, yes, Moriarty is dead.  But I don't think the IDEA is Moriarty is dead. So it really depends on what is meant when we talk about bringing Moriarty back.

Remember, Richard Brook is NOT dead. We know he is a different person from Moriarty because we see him being escorted into a police car at the beginning of TEH. I believe we will see him again, and it will be interesting to see how he is connected to Moriarty. Twin sounds good to me.

I believe the clip she's talking about is actually of Moriarty being put in a car after trying to steal the crwon jewels.

I don't know how to capture screen shots, but It's at 1:26:28. They slipped it into that montage of press reports exonerating Sherlock. It's very brief. I had to run it back a couple of times to make sure when I first noticed it.

Hmm, just rewatched. Perhaps you're right, but it seems ambiguous. This is one of those Schrodiger's Cat things, for me at least.

On the roof Moriarty revealed that he was Richard Brook. So indeed, Richard Brook is dead, too.
