But they really kept "Lügnerin" in the dark/in the background a bit... we didn't see it, either. And is it just me, or did the words move a lot faster than in the original version? I really had difficulties reading them, it just was too fast.

I just rewatched that bit in both versions.
No, the German one isn't faster than the original, but it's more confusing to read because of the length of the German words.

John: "Have you spoken to Mycroft, Molly, uh, anyone?"
Mrs Hudson: "They don’t matter. You do."

Friend of mine fell asleep while watching it. Again. Hopeless.

Die Zeit has a review as well. Spoilerish but very enthusiastic (including some moronic readers' comments):

"To fake the death of one sibling may be regarded as a misfortune; to fake the death of both looks like carelessness." Oscar Wilde about Mycroft Holmes

"It is what it is says love." (Erich Fried)

“Enjoy the journey of life and not just the endgame. I’m also a great believer in treating others as you would like to be treated.” (Benedict Cumberbatch)

Oh, I even know the author, he's a colleague of mine. But I didn't know that he also writes for "Die Zeit".
And yes, a very nice article.

And oh my, that sounds beautiful...

"Ich bin", sagt Holmes, "ein lächerlicher Mensch, erlöst durch die Wärme Deiner Freundschaft."

Yes, this is lovely. I would be so happy if they got the speech right.

That one sentence actually makes me think that they just might pull it off...

Nice article, I always like Sherlock-reviews to be enthusiastic . Although I completely disagree about Sherlock still being the "entemotionalisierte Genie" and high-flyer who sees through life´s complexities for us (the audience).. but well. He probably hasn´t seen complete S3 yet..

Yes, we might send them flowers, chocolate and port after all.

The beginning of a beautiful friendship

Eventually everyone will support Johnlock.   Independent OSAJ Affiliate

... but there may be some new players now. It’s okay. The East Wind takes us all in the end.

Or at least some incentive to keep up the decent work.

so nice!  Solar,  best of compliments to your colleague!

Sounds like he really appreciates Benedict's subtle acting talent, in
that incredible face we know and love:

"...einem Gesicht, das sich innerhalb von Sekunden von einer starren Maske zu
einem Spiegel von Hunderten gleichzeitig aufscheinender und wieder
unterdrückter Gefühlsregungen wandeln kann."

Yes, that is a wonderful sentence. And it describes exactly what Benedict can communicate with minute movements of his face.

Slightly stupid article - no "Meta-Ebene", big laugh!! - but a recommendation to watch.

jenosborn, I'll let him know that the German fans (or least some of them) approve of the way in which he approaches Sherlock and Benedict.

Well, if she doesn't see a "Meta-Ebene", then I would say she is as blind as a mole. Or she doesn't know what the term "Meta-Ebene" even means. But okay, she seems to like Benedict, that's something, right?

Yes, that is quite obvious.
Maybe we should show her loudest-subtext-in-television's tumblr.

No, susi, that could come as a bit of a johnlock-shock to some of the German fans...
After all, this is not the comprehensive thread

------------------------------------------------------------

Eventually everyone will support Johnlock.

"If you're not reading the subtext then hell mend you"  -  Steven Moffat
"Love conquers all" Benedict Cumberbatch on Sherlock's and John's relationship
"This is a show about a detective, his best friend, his wife, their baby and their dog" - Nobody. Ever.
