I believe Plunkett went after the Guy Richie movies too...because the homoerotic subtext "went against the spirit of the books!?"

Ironically, she would make a great Sherlock villain.

And, to be fair, she would probably manage to see homo-erotic subtext in Poirot and Miss Marple as well!
