I'm attempting a OOAK Sherlock doll and wondered if anyone knows the material of his coat. Is it tweed? A particular make of tweed? And is it black or dark blue? I can never really tell. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Ah, thanks very much! I doubt I'll be able to find an exact replica of the material but I'm sure I'll find something close on Ebay.

You are welcome
Also trying to make the coat, though detailed references aren't too easy to find
Good luck with this project, great idea

Just a quick note from someone who has seen an original Belstaff coat as well as fan-made coats: the linked coat look spretty good. BUT it was not used by the Sherlock team as Sue Virtue confirmed on Twitter:

I think the @SherlockCoat is probably a very good replica, all I'm saying is the ones we used in S3 were our original Belstaffs.

In case of confusion, to confirm again, whatever they claim, we did not use any coats or scarves made by @SherlockCoat on series 3.

Thank you for posting this.
SherlockCoat is a good replica, looking at the images on the site for fabric references.

Don't you think it is enough to post the link to that shop once?
