I would love to share this video about Michael Price performing a preview of a soundtrack for series 3.

Maybe this soundtrack is a bit spoilerish because the mood which is transported through this music piece is very clear.

However, enjoy.

"Falling is just like flying, except there’s a more permanent destination."

"Sherlock Holmes is a great man, and I think one day—if we’re very very lucky—he might even be a good one."

"Would you like to-"
"-have dinner?"
"-solve crimes?"
"Oh"

Oh damn  ....I got teary, especially at the second tune he played. In the words of John Watson, That...was amazing! And I'm so excited that they're working on releasing music books for piano for the first 2 series! *squee* I'll definitely invest in those

Thanks for sharing Mary Me!

Thank you so much, Mary. I had tears in my eyes only from hearing this. What will the final series do to me?

I wonder whether there will be a Mary's theme or a Mary and John theme.

Spooky. And sad.

The cat seems to like it.

It is sad. I wonder if it is used for Sherlock's and John's reunion.

My thoughts, too. It sounds a bit like reintroducing Sherlock in "The Empty Hearse", before he reveals himself to John, which would also explain the spooky undertones.
Well, we will see, or more correctly, hear

"My brother has the brain of scientist or a philosopher, and yet he elects to be a detective...what might we deduce about his heart?" M.H.

There is an article at the theguardian.com about David Arnold, his career and projects. He also talks a bit about Sherlock's new soundtrack and his perception of the characters.
By the way, what is a "Sherlockophone" going to be?

I've just pre-ordered my copy of the CD. Due out on the 27th. I love music to TV and movies and the Sherlock cd's never disappoint. Having now seen all three episodes of series 3 I think this is going to be the best cd to date.

Did anyone catch the two tunes in the show? I thought the first had something to do with the bomb and the second with John and Mary, I'm not sure. Any thoughts?

My series 3 soundtrack arrived today! I wasn't expecting it until 27th so I was really pleased!
I've just finished listening to it and it's the best one in my opinion! Especially the music to His Last Vow. Very epic and powerful!  I'm now going to listen to it again!

Sorry you have to wait so long.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is autorip?

Yes it's bit strange. Well maybe it will be available at Deezer earlier.
I can still order it from UK, but the nice thing about AutoRip is, that I can access it through the web...
It is only eligible when shipped to an address in UK from amazon.co.uk and to Germany from amazon.de...

Just got the CD. Oh... there are sooo many heart-breaking melodies on it. Especially the Waltz of TSoT and nearly all of HLV. I love it.

Sherlock: "I heard you.”

"Temptation coursing through our veins "

I still wonder, while it releases in Germany 1 month later... but I want the autorip, so I have to sit straight and use Deezer (with commercial breaks)...
I love the new soundtrack but I'm wondering if they put the mindpalace thing fully? Forwards or Backwards propably, but is it the full / same version?

I love Vanishing Underground...
