(btw, there's something I'm not sure about: if Mary has been "poisoned" too, does that mean she drank punch as well? Because you're not supposed to drink when you're pregnant I think I have missed a piece of the dialog there...)

It was tea

So, did John move back in with Sherlock in the months he was in a fight with Mary, do you think?

My first favorite line is Mycroft saying: Oh, Sherlock, what have you done?

All the other oens quoted so far are grea, too.

Yes, this line is a favourite of mine too. There is so much sadness in his voice when he says this...

also:

"Do not fire at Sherlock Holmes."

A funnier one:

"Is that your laptop?"
"Upon which depends the security of the free world, yes. And you've got potatoes on it"

I would think so.

BAMF!John Watson: "Yeah, it's a sprain. I'm a doctor, I know how to sprain people."

And Mycroft: "The east wind is coming, Sherlock. It's coming to get you."

Mycroft is not a good choice for reading bed time stories. Would you ever sleep if you had a brother like that?

I'd sleep like a baby.

"Oh, please, killing me. That's so two years ago. ”

All lives end. All hearts are broken. Caring is not an advantage, Sherlock.

This is not one of my favorites, but I did notice something very subtle.  When Sherlock/John are tricking Mary in the hallway scene and she realizes that Sherlock is behind her:

"A dummy...I suppose that's a fairly obvious trick."

I couldn't help but imagine John thinking to himself that on top of everything else, his wife -- in fact -- thinks of him as a dummy.  The choice of words seemed too coincidental to me.  The writers' universe is seldom so lazy.

============================================================
"The name's Sherlock Holmes and the address is 221b Baker Street. Afternoon..."

Sherlock: You're a doctor. In fact you're an army doctor.
Watson: Yes.
Sherlock: Any good?
Watson: Very good.
Sherlock: Seen a lot of injuries then. Violent deaths.
Watson: Well. Yes.
Sherlock: Bit of trouble too I bet.
Watson: Of course. Yes. Enough for a lifetime. Far too much.
Sherlock: Wanna see some more?
Watson: Oh god yes.

I'll just try and answer that with another quote, from STID.
Kirk to Spock: "Well, it's still a hell of a quote."

I like the line just before it.
"It's squishy, should it be squishy"

Just the way he says it, and the randomness of the terminology, makes me bark a shocked laugh every time, I just can't help it.
