I use to say: don't judge about anything what you don't know.
But there are things out there I just don't want to try.

Well, the good thing is, you don't have to! There's always the back button for those stories one doesn't want to read. Otoh, if there's someone desperate for tentacle porn...? Fine with me if they find some.

I don't mind omegaverse but tentacle porn is just beyond my comprehension. Just why??

Wow, I'm pretty new to fanfic and I want to get involved. So naturally, the place to start is a thread about tentacle porn.

Wow, just... wow. How do people come up with these things? Wait, don't answer that.

I don't read omega fics.  I also don't read anything that has John or Sherlock being some sort of mutated fawn or bunny creature.   Can wrap my brain around such.

Och, come on! "On the courting behaviour of the British Sherlock" by Bold_as_Brass for example is fairly tongue in cheek and pretty funny. It's parody! Parody works for me.

Summary:
Sherlocks can be destructive when bored. We're hoping the introduction of a companion John Watson will improve matters.

I approach fanfiction the same way I approach nearly everything else in life: "I'll try almost anything twice, on the off chance I got it wrong the first time". I've read a few good omegaverse stories and the fawn thing too. Granted there's a lot of **** out there, but then that is true of every genre/subgroup you care to mention.

Let's play a new game!

Series 3 Fanfic trend predictions!

For example.  I predict hundreds of johnlock fics where Stag Night ends with confessions of love and semi-drunken sex.  In the morning John realizes he must break it off with Mary.

And, there will at least a few where Sherlock does hook up with the Maid of Honor, handcufs will be involved.

Next?

Mrs Hudson practically gave us the Godfather part 4 with her backstory- someone might write that up!

Also Sherlock the Secret Dancer, an AU where Sherlock goes on So You Think You Can Dance, Sherlock and John Dirty Dancing- you get my drift!

I think many fluffy Johnlock fics will include John and Sherlock finally waltzing at the romantic climax.

I should say that the links above are to chapter 5 and 9 respectively of a 9 chapter fic. Just posted the links to the relevant dancing chapters.

Just wrapped up my latest post HLV fanfic. And I always find it's a bittersweet thing, because while I'm happy I managed to finish a project, it's almost sad that I need to let go of that particular universe in my head.

Of course there's nothing stopping me from writing more, except the fact that the plot bunny isn't always there when I need it. Let's hope one comes hopping along very soon.

The giddy feeling you get when that WIP you got emotionally invested in FINALLY gets updated after 3 long months.

I don't read them as children-teens. uh uh, not interested. Same goes for fan art, where the artist makes them look all roly-poly like urchins, like those hideous Precious Moments statues you find in gift stores. Ugh, just ugh. I do realize it takes all kinds, however.

I don't read drunk!fic if I can possibly avoid it. I figure, if the characters have to get liquored up to get it on with their true wuv, well, they can do it without me. But having said all that, how about 100s of Johnlock fics where stag night ends with confessions of love and semi-drunken sex, and in the morning, John realizes he must go through with the wedding with Mary?  hmmmm..... I do like me some angst.
