Next up...
Requiem for a Dream by Clint Mansell. This is a stunningly brilliant, orchestrated score.

Michael Giacchino's Star Trek theme [for the '09/'13 movies].

I.....  wow....   I must thank you for posting that!  I've just been clicking on just a select couple videos here and there to see other's favorites... (connection's been sucking), but that one had me curious, with the vague semblance of a memory surfacing of it from the title (I'm not sure I even saw the movie in it's entirety, if I ever did).  But.  As soon as it started playing, immediately pulled to attention, whole head pretty much going 'it's that one song...  THAT  SONG! o.o'        Aaack...  I must get the mp3 now.....

Ah!  Yes... 'yes' at the first three (and Gladiator)... after my own heart!    (willing to bet a ton of fans of those here, though)     But out of curiosity, you've heard the Neil Finn version of 'Mountain' off the soundtrack, or just the movie version?  I really missed the deep "dwarven" voices, but Neil's version fleshes it out into a longer, full song, with more instruments, and it really is gorgeous.

I cannot stop listening to "Parade's End".

I prefer this one. I think it's the one you mean... And I agree it's just perfect

Ooh, dangerous question for me- I absolutely love great movie/tv soundtracks, old and new.  Let's see if I can name my absolute favorites.

Lord of the Rings (Complete Recordings)
Gladiator
The Last Unicorn
The Hunt for Red October
Doctor Who
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Team America
Saturday Night Fever
Footloose
Princess Mononoke(もののけ姫)
The 12 Kingdoms (十二国記)

But of course.  Of course.       Wondered if you had familiarity with both.  And yes, like I said, I do have a soft spot for the deeper, 'quietly' beautiful voices of the dwarves' version, but when I heard the more fleshed-out, instrumental, soaring voice of Neil's version...  wow.  ;)  I once found an amazing cover of it by a group of music students with cello/violin, too if you'd like to hear.    Aw, and sj!  The Last Unicorn!  That title song still nostalgic-ly 'gets' me every time.
Goodness....  and totally unrelated in either style or film to any of those, but how could I forget one of the haunting Bourne themes:

(The Piano Guys also did an absolutely amazing mash-up of it with a Vivaldi cello piece:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09RUuTAM2H0)

@Mara, there is something wrong with your links. Could you check them again?

I love HBO opening credits, like

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4v3AaP4TbE

- Boardwalk empire
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBTjymxdweA

- Deadwood
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B909njPoX7k

- True Blood

Oh yes, Schmiezi... "Boardwalk Empire" rocks! (And not just the opening credits...)

And I've really been in love with the TTSS-soundtrack lately, especially this piece:

I still love the song for the Hobbit movie that appeared in the end credits.

I love this song so much!

It always reminds me of the day with my friends in cinema and after the movie Benedicts and Martins names together on screen, I think I grinned like an idiot :D

The first time I saw Return of the King I sobbed like an infant through the end credits.  The combination of the character drawings and this song just did me in.

Here's one where I feel both the score and the film have been sadly under-rated.

Both will be well worth your time.   And if you make it to the end of Six Feet Under I vote it for BEST Series Finale EVER!
