So many wonderful things on this thread!

Does origami counts as handicrafts? Because I like making origami stuff. xd

Yes it counts, of course, why not?
Show us something if you like!

Gosh, the red colour is not good. It is also Javana Opak, but I already painted with it twice and I think i need at least another go. Even white covers better than this...

Wow, that's a cool idea! And really looks good.

@Deilenn: Sure does origami count. I never had the patience for it but I am always so impressed what beautiful filigree things you can make from one piece of paper. Like to share some pictures?

I saw it and then thought, I won't buy it, this is something I can paint .
My problem is, I'm not good in making something up. I am a creative problem solver but not creative creater ^^. Always need a base to adapt things.

I done the 3rd layer of red now and will do the finishing of the letters later.
I gonna show a picture when it's finished.

This one i did before: Not Sherlock, but still...

Done.... (maybe some small final fixes when it is dry)

(The white stuff around the figure is some special pen which disappears after a while or when touched by water.)

Great t-shirts, I like them

As for my origami, I actually have kept only 3 pieces right now (two of them are the same) because I usually throw my works away if I don't need them anymore - justifying to myself that I can fold them again whenever I want xd - but sure I can take pictures and put them here, if not today then tomorrow!

Oh Spiral, these are beautiful! How do you make them? What kind of material do you use?

Thank you very much!
They are made from polymer clay over a wire armature (skeleton). Hair is either viscose or mohair.
Basically, you just sculpt the shape and then bake it in the oven. Then when it has cooled the fun starts - you add make up, clothes, hair and wings.

Loki doll....oh...gone all a bit flustered and breathless!

I used to do loads of origami as a kid and still remember how to do some of the best ones. There was a chap on the TV (Robert Harbin, I think) who used to demonstrate it and also wrote books. I have one, maybe two, of those. My favourite creation is the Spanish Box. Really good for parties.

Anyhow, my cottage business is really very handicrafts based. Lots of tying, threading, gluing, stitching etc. Today I have made two sets of rhythm beads, 5 mane clips with beads and feathers and a tail clip. I love my work!

I made a first attempt at a Loki doll. It's not very good though. I shall try again asap.
I sculpted him similar to how he sat miserably and sad in his cell. But er...minus his clothes!! Ha ha!

Gave the Javana "Kopierpapier" another Try.
Didn't work on a blue shirt.

I tried it again, cut it in half ( it is A3) so that I do not put tape on it itself and used a Kugelschreiber with very much pressure... Then it worked quite well on purple.

The most arty or crafty I get is loom band bracelets.  Yes the kids have have driven me so insane I take to tangling up tiny elastics to make bracelets.  I might one day make one big enoughtotie the kids up for a few hours peace haha.
