Oh, that would be great. I would prefer the iTunes download, but better than nothing. Plus it's my birthday in a month. Need to spread the news to my family!

No, sorry, there´s just a dvd. Maybe it´s a little too early and one should wait until the series is finished. Or maybe itunes?

Neil Gaiman was in town over the weekend to answer questions and read from his latest book. He was charming and funny. He said that he has written a short story that takes place in the Neverwhere world. I think he said it would come out in an anthology later this year.

By the way, judging by the reactions to my I am SHERLOCKED t-shirt, there were plenty of Sherlockians in the audience. High-fived a girl in Sherlock shirt!

The BBC will release "Neverwhere" as an audiobook in September (on Audio Go).

Did they say who the narrator will be?  Or will it still be the play?

Yay!

So many good news right now, but I need to leave soon to be heading for some work-related barbecue!

Ouch, just wrote down a very mean joke including bad pupils and barbecue but erased it instantly!

There are many collegues leaving school this year, so we had a goodbye barbecue. Very sad!

Nothing quite like a bit of end of term cannibalism!

Neil Gaiman tweeted that "Neverwhere" was Audible.com's Deal of the Day--only that was yesterday.  (Might get it anyway!)

The sound quality is not the best though.

You seem to be able to buy it at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Neverwhere-Adaptation/dp/B00ELIKX9K but it's a bit confusing as all the versions seem to be lumped together. I'm not sure you would know if you were getting the BBC radio version or the audiobook if you ordered the CD. However the Book Depository listing seems to be more specific http://www.bookdepository.com/Neverwhere-Neil-Gaiman/9781471316470

I thought I read the Neil Gaiman book when I was a teenager but it turns out that it was released in 1996 so that makes me at least 20. I never saw the TV serial and at the time I didn't realise it was based on one. I quite liked the world under London (I've always been a Londonphile) and the book has stayed with me as a fond memory, though I have never re-read it. When I found out that Benedict was part of a new BBC adaptation, I was very keen to listen to it. Even more so when I read the other big names in the cast. I really enjoyed listening to the six episodes, it was very atmospheric thanks to the brilliant voice work and sound design. And that Islington.... *sigh*
