So, Martin is a big fan of Motown. He even released a CD of his favourites...
Anyone else into that kinda music? I think it's cool!

Definitely cool, but I can't listen to that kind of music all the time and every day. It's great for when you're throwing a party, though. But there are other music styles I'd definitely prefer for 'everyday listening'.

I listened to Marvin Gaye whilst I was driving today and I almost crashed the car because I was dancing too hard.

Ah, could be dangerous!

MARTIN HAS OFFICIALLY MADE ME ADDICTED TO MOTOWN. HELP.

I love his Motown compilation, it's always on my Blackberry! It's great music to listen to when you are grumpy in the morning (speaking from experience *sigh*)

MOTOWN! This is brilliant! However, it looks like it's not available on the US Amazon.
Bugger All. I own most of the songs already but I would love to read the liner notes.

When I get my copy I'll type them out for you!

Aw, that's so sweet of you! (or maybe just take pictures, for convenience?) Admit I never got into Motown myself, much, although appreciate a lot of the artists and the 'entity' of it... it seems so 'him' to be into all that though, and all the records, and to have made this... be neat to hear about his reasoning, too!

Not to mention this is reminding me of hearing about, but never looked up getting to see, the special they did of 'Martin Freeman Goes To Motown'.... he looks awesome as usual, just based on these numerous gifs someone nicely put up!
Anyone else see it?

Should I be worried that I already have a bunch of those?

My stepdad loves motown, so we heard a lot of it growing up. I'll always remember listening to Smokey Robinson just after we moved into our new house when I was about 9 years old. The living room was completely bare and had hardwood floors, so we set up the record player and danced as the sunlight slowly drained out of the room. It was one of those magical nights because it was the first time I ever danced with my stepfather.

Yeah "Martin Freeman goes to Motown" is a brilliant thing to watch, and rewatch, and rewatch. I love seeing how enthusiastic and happy he looks there!
And it's also nice to learn so much about Motown music and the people behind it.

He's so adorable when he gets all excited talking about it. And then when he's laughing at the end when they ask him what his favourite song is. Awww.
