That's actually the very, very first scene I ever saw of the show, I happened to come across it when it was showing on tv and I was switching channels. And I hate to admit it, but I was not impressed at all, I just thought 'what the hell, who is this arrogant smart-arse, no, not interested'.
lol That sounds like my husband's attitude about Sherlock, except in the US we say ass, not arse. ahem All he's ever seen of Sherlock is TRF, and I'm afraid we lost him (my husband) during the men's room scene where S gets in that reporter gal's face and tells her, "You. Repel. Me." Yup, that was enough for the hub, and now I watch Sherlock alone. Oh, well. Win some. Lose some. That's what makes a horse race; everyone likes something different.

Especially when (despite the serious/intense/excited/thoughtful expressions being thud-worthy), he's adorably goofy:

One word: Cumberdork.
Yes, definitely love it when Sherlock is putting on some dorky acting, like in TGG when he's talking to Ian Monkford's wife. Love it!

He recently described his eyes as being "aquamarine, green-y kinda things" which explains everything.
