Benedict drops out of Crimson Peak

Just read on the news that Benedict will no longer star in Del Toro's Crimson Peak: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/21/benedict-cumberbatch-crimson-peak_n_3792778.html

Too bad, I'd been looking forward to seeing him in a horror movie... But I guess he'll have a good reason for dropping out (filming more Sherlock would be a nice one, hehe ).

I'm deeply dissapointed, but I'm sure he had his reasons.

^ This. Even more disappointing than when Emma Stone dropped out, I just about had an aneurism when a while ago I noticed that both Emma Stone and Benedict Cumberbatch were probably going to be in the movie, two of my major crushes in one film?! *squeals*  Oh well, doesn't matter now.

Re: Benedict drops out of Crimson Peak

I cannot say, I am particularly sorry to hear it. I wasn't totally convinced by this project, especially when del Toro began to talk about "kinky sex". But I would like to hear about some new exciting project soon, there is Turing and then? Can't live my Cumber-obsession on penguins !

I REALLY hope, he quits because of Sherlock IV. Wouldn´t that be georgeous?!

Re: Benedict drops out of Crimson Peak

Well, I'm getting deja vu here, because I somehow heard a passing mention of this news-bit, and thought I'd heard it from you guys, but nothing coming up with search terms.  Supposedly he dropped out of 'Crimson Peak' for 'Lost City of Z'?  Never heard of it, but sounds like a really neat book/story!  Perhaps needless to say, I was clicking on another pretty photo someone had posted on pinterest, and it led me to the source article:

(warning: pretty pictures ahead     )

(also: what is with the use of 'Cumby'?)

Edit:  Oh my gosh... and just noticed new 'title', too!       I knew it... you guys did knock me dead with all those beautiful Toronto pics!     *idly hopes no one notices the lack of halo and goes back to ogling that thread*

Just this morning you were all tiny and small and made of clay!

I'm working my way up the greasy pole.  It's… very greasy.  And…  pole-shaped.
