"Fur Fiction" *runs the other way*
If it's Johnlock you know someone is getting slammed against a wall and snogged till they're cross eyed.

Ha, ha! This thread has been great. I'm going to spend the rest of the day trying to come up with 'some things they always do'....
How about - the word 'lube' always shows up somewhere - but 'condoms' may or may not.

condoms are rather rare, I'd say - more frequent a secret blood-test done by Sherlock, or things like that

I just read one where Sherlock was terribly impatient to get the test done. Wonder why.
P.S. Believe it or not, this one had some things I had never encountered before in a fanfic.

Oh, no. You are free to read for yourself. It's quite entertaining and sometimes really funny. There is a case, yes, and a lots of sex but it is never in danger of becoming PWP.

Sometimes I was laughing out loud.

Interesting. Seems that up until now I only read Johnlock fics with no blood-tests at all (really, not a single one!), but lots of condoms.
And of course, you almost always find the word "cheekbones" in Johnlock and a John who is immensely fascinated by those cheekbones.

I remember maybe one or two? Two, I guess. Esp. when they go buy some. Yes, I can recall such scenes now.
Cheekbones. Well, aren't we all? Why not the writers? And John?

Oh, don't get me wrong, I didn't mean that as a criticism. I love those cheekbones and I love to read about them. You should really think that it gets boring after a while, when you read about it in every single story. But, uhm, it doesn't. Curious. Remarkable.

Oh, I didn't see it as criticism either. You are right, the love of his cheeckbones is a widespread phenomenon

They gave me a very hard thud during today's press conference in Toronto.

OMG Susi, I just finished reading Safe Distance yesterday! It was quite enjoyable.
If it's Johnlock you know Sherlock will refer to John in a very possesive way with great emphsis on the words MY or MINE.

"My John"... oh YES!

John will bite Sherlock's neck.

Sherlock's lips will be refered to as a "perfect cupid's bow."

Also in many Johnlock storys, John is very self-conscious about his body because of the scar, whereas he characterize Sherlocks body as perfect, like an antique greek statue. On the other hand, Sherlock likes Johns body because it’s so muscular.
Oh, and don’t forget the parts, which describes Sherlocks lips as incredible soft and warm just as his perfect alabaster porcelain-like skin.
(Oh my! I like those parts .)

John is embarassed by his scar but Sherlock is fascinated with it and will examine it closely.

And John discovers that this turns him on.
