You're most welcome AG. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Ditto on WIP's. When searching an archive I always click that "completed only" box.

Big reccomendation here.
For some reason I got on a parentlock kick last week.
Most of what I read was short "slice of life" fluff. All enjoyable but like eating candy. Sweet but no nutritional value.
Then I found this.
Multiply (the sum of our parts)

This is a longer work and it's one of the best fics I have read recently parentlock or not.
The plot is well thought out and the why, when and how children come to be is given a lot of weight.
It's AU in that the author has John and Sherlock become a couple before The Fall but it feels real and believable.
And a big thing for me was this was the BEST written version of Mummy Holmes that I have ever read. Many times when her character is included in a story she seems very flat to me. This author made Mummy live and breathe for me in a way no one else has.
I would recomend this eveh if parentlock isn't necessarily your big thing.
Hmmm...I've come across this one before, but wasn't overly interested. I suppose if it really is that good...? I'll give it a shot

Your milliage may vary SilverMoon, but it's worth a read.
This one is basically PWP but it is beautifully written. I'd go so far as to call it poetically erotic.
Sex With Sherlock
*swoon*

I'll give it a try at some point
I rarely read, as it is called "PWP", but occasionally I will read a fan fiction that is quite...intense shall we say, hehe, but only if it has an interesting (or humorous, or both) story as well. There is one I read not long ago called "The Great Sex Olympics of 221B", I'm sure you can guess from the title what it's about...may not be for everyone, understandable, and though there is (as the title suggests) a lot of sex in it, the reasoning behind it, how it's written (funny, dramatic as well as...intimate) and the story itself is actually interesting...kinda draws you in *coughs* , heh . I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would.
Anyway, here's the link;

Thanks for that one! I just read it, and I would agree: quite poetically written. Great way to start the day.

Glad you liked it SS. It's also a very nice one to read at the end of the day before you go to sleep.

I read the Sex Olympics one last night. OMFG that author is brilliant. Went to read the rest of her stuff and realised I had already read, and loved, all of them. Rec seconded!!

Oh my, oh my, oh my! Started this one last night. Need a cold shower now . Actually, thought the dialogue is really well done and I laughed out loud a lot. But do I like the story line so far? Not sure. I know this is 'crack' but I like John and Sherlock to be exclusive so if I were the author I would have put the breaks on the 'experiment' before allowing other people to 'invade' the sanctity of 221B. But haven't finished reading yet. Who knows, I may like how it ends up.

Hehe! It is quite well done, and I laughed out loud as well when reading it . I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the whole thing, wasn't something I would normally read...but I did, the author did a great job, it was awesome!

After reading the fan fic mentioned, I went to read the rest of their stuff...enjoyed all of them! You can't go wrong with humour, a bit of casework, sexy times (heavy emphasis here, heh) and other delicious Johnlock goodness! For those who haven't read them, here are the links;
The Halloween Party ~
Eight Inches That Changed Everything ~
The Detective And The PinUp ~
The Seduction Of Dr. John Watson ~

All of this sounds really interesting, and I love stories that combine sex with humour. So I'll have to give this a try real soon.

Ah bugger, just noticed a typo in my post . "It's Inches, not Inces", and yes, that title is pretty much exactly like it sounds....
Anyway, I do too! And it seems to be this authors specialty, if you like sex and humour, definitely give those a try

I'll do that, Silver!
I found an author on the Archive who does this pretty brilliantly, too. Not all of her stories are really my cup of tea, but lots of them, have a look at this, for example:

Now I start wondering if I can save my Kindle using a password.

Ah right! I know this one, haven't read it yet but I intend to. I took a look at some of her other stories, many of them don't really sound like my taste either, but Long Time Coming could be worth a peak

Mmmm tried it...not my thing.
I don't mind explicit content as long as there is SOME story & they're in character. Long Time Coming doesn't look like it fits my bill

I've passed up the sex olympics a couple of times. Didn't care for the title and didn't like the idea of John and Sherlock having sex with other people. After hearing you guys rave about it I finally gave it a try.
Oh MY.
This author gives good smut. Swear I actually got light headed a couple of times!
But it really wasn't just PWP. There was plenty of emotion to be had and her characterizations rang true for me.
*thumbs up*
Although I really need to stop reading things like that on my break at work. Makes it very hard to concentrate for the rest of the afternoon.
