Fic Rec: The Reluctant Relationship
I love BBC Sherlock but I never thought of Sherlock and John as a couple (despite all the hints/jokes) until I read this wonderful story. The characters are so well portrayed and the plot follows BBC canon perfectly; so perfectly that it makes the story feel real--as if it could've taken place just before the Reichenbach Fall episode.
Sherlock and John are not gay, but as evidence indicates, a couple nonetheless. That's how I think of them now. ;D

Also, the fact that Martin Freeman thinks that his character is profoundly in love with Sherlock cemented the entire premise for me. To find out more, read article here:

Remember also in Scandal in Belgravia that Irene Adler, in reply to John's assertion, 'We are not a couple' says ' Yes you are!'

This really is lovely. Very much in character, to a degree I wouldn't have imagined possible.

Performance In A Leading Role
This is, in my opinion, one of the best fanfics written. It is Johnlock and has naughty bits eventually, so avoid if it will offend 
It is written by Mad Lori who also wrote the legendary Alone on the Water, which WILL make you cry, and The Blog of Eugenia Watson, Just click on her name and the list of her stories will come up.
