Striped shirt! I love it!

Oh, and thanks for the Gilliam/Rushdie/Benedict-pic, that's really great!

He's a pretty lean type anyway, but I think he lets himself get actually skinny (or even skinnier) when he's in Sherlock mode. Sherlock doesn't eat, so maybe he's trying to make himself look emaciated when it's time for filming.

I'd say so, too. He didn't look that skinny in "Parade's End" for example, did he? Sherlock is probably the role for which he loses additional weight.

He doesn't look that skinny in anything else that I've ever seen. OTOH, he's a true ectomorph, so he'll always be with the long bones and lean silhouette. But compare the Sherlock look to the way he appeared in the recent Star Trek movie, with the well-defnined guns and pecs.  Oh oh. THUD

Re: Cumberspotting - most recent photos

Can't say how pleased I was to see Benedict pictured with Salman.
I went to hear him speak on Saturday, I admire him hugely.

Wow!

I love the photo of Benedict with Salman Rushdie! Rushdie is a truly impressive man/author!

On the Graham Norton Show he said how he gained weight for the role of Khan and that afterwards he lost it again, also because Sherlock isn't such a physical role. I really like his Sherlock-look, but as Khan... really not bad either. Yes, *thud*.

Muscle weight is actually really easy to lose over a relatively short period of time.
