For some reason I keep hoping that the stuffed monkey from the comic con video and Martin's robe and sunglasses or Bilbo's feet show up some where in the episodes. No reason for such a left field desire, but there it is.

Mark tweeted today that he was on his way to Cardiff. "The one fixed point in a changing age" how he charmingly put it.

Oh I'm so excited!!!!! Hm..."one fixed point in a changing age" eh? I wonder if they'll incorporate that line into the episode somehow, I hope so, it is one of my favourites (that whole paragraph Sherlock speaks is)

Wonderful quote.

Some exciting news will hopefully help me surving the last week at work before two and a half weeks of holiday.
According to Sue Vertue on twitter "Sherlock's new adversary will be unveiled in a few hours".
Last chance to guess ...

So it's not Moran then, like everybody said?! Otherwise they wouldn't make such a mystery out of it.
I don't know the canon, what could be other adversaries?

It could be Moran, but Jonathan Small from The Sign of Four would probably also be a good guess... or else Charles Augustus Milverton, who is quite a good villain in his story. But who knows, it could be so many!
And Sherlockology just tweeted "SOMETHING BIG'S COMING", with a huge no. 5 in the background what's that supposed to mean?? Series 4 & 5 confirmed? Series 3 airing in 5 months? 5 hours/days until we learn something about series 3?
They're killing me here

This is the Twitter tag we need to keep our eyes on:
#SherlockR3VEALED
It's too obvious to be Moran, and if he's in it at all it will be the first episode only surely (Empty Hearse).

Agreed - Moran logically would have to be in the first episode, and to be honest right now I can't think of anyone else as prominent as him or Moriarty. There are many villains in the canon, but they all come up for one story only, so basically it could be anybody. (all else I can come up with right now would be wild theories)

My favourite suggestions off Twitter:
1. It's 5 days until they show the repeat of Reichenbach. Maybe they will reveal the "something big" then...during the episode subtitles again or something.
2. They will make the announcement in 5 hours or at 5pm British time.
3. We will get Series 3 in 5 months time.
4. There's going to be a Series 5. (Unlikely they will announce this though)
5. Sherlock and John will have 5 days or 5 hours to solve the all important case (countdown style like in TGG)
6. John and Sherlock will have sex five times (hahahahaha)
5 can be the first number of a countdown.
We possibly know the villian already?

Also:
1. Sherlock buys John five new jumpers
2. We're going to get 5 episodes instead of 3.

They know how to keep the fandom hungry.

Some of those tweets are hilarious
- Sherlock comes back to Baker Street with a 5 year old adopted child that he plans to raise with John
- 5 times John punches Sherlock in the face when Sherlock walks into 221B as if nothing happened
- represents the 500 years we had to wait for season 3
- 5 out of 5 on the sexual tension scale between john and sherlock
- 5 stands for the amount of jumpers john will wear in the first episode
And this one's got it right I think:
- moffat is probably just scrolling through all our '5' theories and laughing because none of them are right ;-)

I love this fandom.
I would favour the "5 hours until an announcement is being made" theory, as of all of the theories above it is the shortest way for us of getting at least some information.
But I honestly doubt that we will really be any wiser then. Most likely it will be just fodder for another round of wild speculations.

Haha! Oh probably
Maybe they release a trailer since the audio (you know which one) is out on the internet anyway?
