Sherlock movies from Youtube

One of the easiest ways to catchup on the original stories is to watch them.
It's funny now, after seeing BBC Sherlock because 'Moftiss' took snippets from many of the originals and wove them into the current ones.
So you will recognise some dialogue etc.
Watching these also helps people who aren't THAT familiar with all of Sherlock's traits, something they are trying to keep in the current series.

Here's a few for you to watch. These are from the excellent series " The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes" starring Jeremy Brett as Holmes.

Mycroft’s popularity doesn’t surprise me at all. He is, after all, incredibly beautiful, clever and well-dressed. And beautiful. Did I mention that?

Re: Sherlock movies from Youtube

Jeremy Brett's Holmes was made from 1984 to 1994.

A more 'original' and well recognised Holmes was Basil Rathbone's filmed between 1939 to 1946. I'm sure it is easy enough to find those too.
Before the BBC Sherlock we know & love today, most people were torn between Rathbone and Brett as being the best Sherlock on film.

Re: Sherlock movies from Youtube

I find Jeremy Brett a bit weird, don't like his voice. Prefer Basil!

Re: Sherlock movies from Youtube

I agree, he's very pale looking, I try to focus on the plot rather than him. So opposite to watching 'our' Sherlock, lol.

Re: Sherlock movies from Youtube

Thanks for the You Tube links. I remember these episodes well from my teens. I think Jeremy Brett was excellent as Holmes.
