There are some songs/videos I find myself listening to pretty often these days. For instance...
Jamiroquai's "Runaway" (check the live at Abbey Road video in Youtube, that band has a MONSTER groove)
Sevendust's "Shine" - I was a huge fan of the band in the early 00s.
Vadrum's drumming videos in Youtube where he plays familiar songs on drums like retro videogame themes, The Simpsons theme etc.
Peter Gabriel's "Here Comes the Flood" - One of the most beautiful piano songs I've heard.

Talk about music - there he is.
Vadrum: would be nice to get also a version without the original music background.
(the Super Mario almost caused me a heart attack)
Let's see...
mine these days is Porcupine Tree.
Especially Lazarus:
and Blackest Eyes:
and Anesthetize:
and...and...and...
And right now I take out my old BAP-cd's (band from Cologne) as they will come to our town next thursday and we have got tickets!!! YEAH! :

Hello Dramagod! It's boiling hot here today. The TUUUUNE I cannot get out of my head at the moment is Bob Marley's Don't Worry Bout a Thing ( 3 Little Birds). I was thinking of it all day yesterday while we were waiting for my daughter's A Level exam results and it worked! Still cannot get it outa ma heed!

That is a really good piece, TicTacToe! I also like their songs Crystalized and Islands.
My biggest obsession today was "Take A Moment" by Armin van Buuren.
I think it will last a while because I absolutely adore it and I always connect it with Sherlock since I've listened to it on repeat when I first watched Sherlock!
Awesome feeling that always returns with this song.

I really, really liked the last one on your list. It reminded me a little bit of Albatross by Fleetwood Mac which is a wonderful, atmospheric instrumental piece.

LOVE me some Fleetwood Mac.
I don't know if I have a song obsession at the moment, but that definitely happens from time to time. This thread is great; I thought I was pretty well-versed as far as music was concerned (no pun intended), but I've not heard of many of these artists. Thanks!

I think the XX are performing with the BBC Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday 19th September in Bridlington, which is in Yorkshire in Northern England. It will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 1 with (the great Kiwi) Zane Lowe presenting. It airs at 7p.m. Hopefully people interested will be able to catch it by some means or another at some time or another. It will be on BBC I-player.

It's with Richard Hawley too apparently. It's seems very interesting thank you ! But i'm in France i can't listen the BBC and i will not probaby listen it on their website because when i try to watch a video there's a message who say "not available in you area". So... too bad for me.

I love bands from the 80's; I barely know any popular songs now! XD my favorite band is Tears for Fears. I have so many favorite songs by them, but here are some of them(I'll post the links for YouTube once I find them): Mothers Talk, Shout, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Pale Shelter, and Sowing the Seeds of Love. My next favorite band is Crowded House. My favorites of them(Again, I'll post links when I find them): Weather With You and Something So Strong. Neill Finn was in Crowded House, the one who did Song of the Lonely Mountain for The Hobbit!
