TEN years?? Seems extreme! I will check both these out - thanks, I need new recs!

Yes, it's a really long time. I think she did it for the sake of storytelling. So John could have an seven year old son.

Now this is a very intense and angsty one. I like it very much. It's six months after Sherlock's return but nothing's like it was before and things threaten get worse. Case fic and lots of feelings, mature chapters towards the end.

Thank you, Susi. I will take it up reading as soon as I'll have finished the "real" book I'm currently involved with.

Adding this one to my list now. ![]()
Just finished one today called Midnight Blue Serenity by BeautifulFiction. Seems like I've heard the author's name before but don't remember if anyone has recomended thie fic here
.
I enjoyed it enough to print it out for my keeper notebook. Discriptions of Sherlock undercover as a sexy bartender in tight jeans and eyeliner are pretty hot.

Oh thanks so much for recommending this!
I really enjoy BeautifulFiction's works!
I'll get to reading it as soon as I am able ![]()
So I just finished reading that Sherlock/Pride and Prejudice fic...wow, it was amazing! I just loved it
, and I didn't realize until after that it was written by the same author who did "Breathe With The Soul".

Both of those are excellent! Skeleton Key was lots of fun (and truly in-character as far as using what is available and shows how Sherlock Holmes is always thinking!) One of my all-time faves :D

Has anyone ever read this? ![]()

The Detective and The PinUp by XistentialAngst;
^ If you're in the mood for something not too long, funny and very sexy...this would be a good fanfic to read ![]()

Right now I'm in the middle of reading this Johnlock AU fanfic by ellie_hell called "This Man's Heart"
'In the latter part of the 19th century, a peculiar solitary man and an ex-army doctor disfigured at war live in a small village, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. When they first meet, they have no idea their lives are about to change forever and, over the months, they will form an unusual friendship, discover more about each other and themselves, and maybe fall a little in love along the way.'
Loving it so far ![]()

Oh please, now this thread is definitely going to kill me. All those recommendations... where should I start? I've already got so much on my list to read at the Archive, currently I'm a big fan of the works of AtlinMerrick, for example this one:
Although some of her stuff is a bit weird and not really my taste. But anyway... I'm sure I'll spend a lot of time in this thread just to get recommendations form you guys. ![]()
edit: Oh, and maybe I should add that I like Angst (especially Post-Reichenbach), Fluff, explicit stuff and of course Johnlock. AU is really not my cup of tea though.

Just read Wild Nights, Wild Nights by cassyl.
It's an AU, but basically explores what would have happened with Sherlock/Moriarty had John not been in the picture; if John met Sherlock afterwards.
I quite enjoyed it.
Summary: If Sherlock had never met John, would he still be on the side of the angels? On his return from Afghanistan, John takes a job working the night shift at a high secure psychiatric hospital, but when the infamous criminal mastermind Sherlock Holmes is admitted as a patient, John begins to suspect that all is not as it seems.

Right now I'm nearly done reading this rather enjoyable Post-Reichenbach Johnlock fic called "Lucid" ![]()

Oh, i just read "Lucid" recently. It was enjoyable.
I have yet one more to reccomend from Beautfiul Fiction.
"Electric Pink Hand Grenade"
Sherlock suffedred from dillibilitating migraines when he was younger but he thought they were gone for good.
Hurt/Comfort - Dr John takes care of Sherlock - friends to lovers
If you like these things this story is just what you need for a rainy day.

Oh, I liked "Electric Pink Hand Grenade" very much!!
(Though maybe better don't read it while you suffer from a migraine. It could become worse.
)
I wanted to go on with the canon during my holidays but I just can't stop reading fanfic. ![]()

One of my favourites. But you are right about the migraines. Gruesome. ;-)
