Re: Favorite story

Mine is "The Sussex Vampire" because the solution was surprising.

"In a world filled with locked doors, the man with the key is king, and honey, you should see me in a crown."

"Every fairy tale needs a good old-fashioned villain. You need me or you're nothing. Because we're just alike, you and I, except you're boring. You're on the side of the angels."

"You're insane."
"You're just getting that now?"

"We stopped checking for monsters under our bed when we realized they were inside us."

Re: Favorite story

If novels counts then I choose "The Hound of the Baskervilles", really good story, and a bit scary. From the stories, I liked "The Musgrave Ritual".

Re: Favorite story

Goodness, I don't know what my favorite is for sure, but Five Orange Pips always stood out to me merely because it terrified me when I first read it- I was about 13 years old, and it was one pm.

Also, The Dying Detective never fails to vastly amusing me due to it's conclusion.

Re: Favorite story

My favourites (I couldn't possibly settle for just one, sorry) are "The Reigate Squire", "The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton" and "The Bruce Partington Plans".
