Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Look here - the first pic from "12 Years A Slave". I nearly fainted: Sherlock hair, hands, violin …

Nice. Can't wait to see that one. Is this the movie he went to New Orleans for a while to film maybe last summer? A while ago, seems like.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

It think it was this one. The story seems very interesting, and the cast is exceptional.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

It was indeed the film the we're shooting in New Orleans last year. It is being released just before the New Year in the US (ideal Pre-Oscars slot). I am unbelievably excited about this film. Fantastic cast, fantastic story (true) and brilliant director (Steve McQueen).

Don't make people into heroes John. Heroes don't exist and if they did I wouldn't be one of them.

I can't read that Steve McQueen name without thinking of THE Steve McQueen of Bullitt fame from back in the 60s, the guy who infamously hurtled his 1968 Mustang fastback car up and down the hills of downtown San Francisco, giving rise to all the car chase movies that followed.  heh

I don't know much about the plot of the slave movie, but I think it's interesting, the casting of Ben in that role. I understand that in real life, one of his Cumberbatch ancestors, who owned a sugar plantation, was a slave owner in Barbados, back a couple hundred years ago. A great-great-grandfather or someone?

Oh that's a great pic! *sigh*  I'm looking forward to this movie, there's quite a few actors in it I like (not to mention Benedict ), especially Chiwetel Ejiofor (the other actor pictured here)

Chiwetel Ejiofor??  Maybe Ben just wanted to finally be in a movie with an actor with a more unpronouncable name than Ben has. Goodness, that's quite a name.

Tired...staring off into the distance, maybe thinking of being somewhere with a swimming pool...oh wait! That's me! lol. Pleasantly comfortable, I think, but still kind of tired.
