Re: Favourite Quote?

Yes, i think I might have heard it in the commentary.
To confirm I will obviously have to watch it again

Yes! In the commentary, maybe that's where I heard it. That would make sense.
I love Hounds, I hate Hounds, I can't wait to watch Hounds again. *smile*

Re: Favourite Quote?

There are already so many great quotes here and a lot of them are my favourites, too. :o)
This has not been mentioned before, I think (from The Hounds of Baskerville):

John: That's an order, Corporal.
...
Sherlock: <smirks> ... Nice touch.
John: Haven't pulled rank in ages.
Sherlock: Enjoy it?
John: Oh, yeah.

Oh, and this:

Sherlock: ... Now shut up and smoke.

Sherlock: ... Thank you for smoking.

And this:

Sherlock: Well, that was tedious!
John: You went on the tube like that?
Sherlock: None of the cabs would take me.
...
Sherlock: Nothing?
John: ...
Sherlock: Nothing of importance! Oh god! John, I need some. Get me some!
John: No.
Sherlock: Get me some!
John: No! Cold turkey. We agreed. No matter what. Anyway, you've paid everyone off, remember? No one within a two mile radius will sell you any.
Sherlock: Stupid idea! Whose idea was that?

:o))

In my life I have found two things of priceless worth - learning and loving. Nothing else - not fame, not power, not achievement for its own sake - can possible have the same lasting value. For when your life is over, if you can say 'I have learned' and 'I have loved', you will also be able to say 'I have been happy'.

That makes one wonder what unusual sights one might see on the London tube....  heh

I love how Ben says the word stupid. It often comes out schtoopid, as he draws it out for emphasis. "I dislike being outnumbered. It makes for too much schtoopid in the room."

Yes, I agree totaly. In TBB he even said it a couple of times. Love it, makes me laugh every time :-)

Re: Favourite Quote?

^ Oh, the lisp. :o)

This makes me laugh every time I see it:
John: This is your living, Sherlock. Not 240 different types of tobacco ash.
Sherlock: 243. (turns on the burner and goes away)

Maybe some of you have seen it already: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nxukaAUqHQ
Every time I'm in desperate need of a giggle I put this on. :o))

Good one, for sure! Love the shock blanket thing, and the way Lestrade admits that they only put it on Sherlock 'cause some of the guys wanted to take photos. lololol

My fave you tube Sherlock vid is this one, which I've watched about 50 times. I really really really do need to get a life-- no need to tell me that. *smile*

Lots of great quotes in that one too.

Oh, what fun! Like fake credits for the show. Funny that the vidder chose all those smiley!Moriarty shots for Andrew Scott's bit, though. Loved how the end was a nice Sherlock-John smiling moment.

Re: Favourite Quote?

Oh, I just though of on:
"Sherlock Holmes, put your trousers on!"
Love the earnest way in which Mycroft sais it :-)

Also the dialouge with DI Dimmock and Sherlock:
SH: I have high hopes for you, Inspector. A glittering career.
DI: I go where you point me.
SH: Exactly.

Re: Favourite Quote?

Oh, I have so many! Obviously the ones I have on my signature, and these:

JW: Fantastic!
SH: Meretricious.
GL: And a happy new year.

JW: I'm glad no one saw that.
SH: Saw what?
JW: You, ripping my clothes off at a darkened swimming pool...people would talk.

JW: Are we here to see the queen?
(MH walks in)
SH: Apparently, yes.
(SH and JW laugh)
MH: Can't you two just once behave like grownups?
JW: He solves crimes, I blog about it, and he forgets his pants, so I wouldn't hold out to much hope.

The person in ASIB but I can't remember his name: He especially enjoyed the one about the aluminum crutch.
(JW turns around to look at SH and clears his throat significantly)

The person in TGG but I can't remember his name: Mr. Holmes, you've got to help me. Without you, I'll be hung.

SH: Oh, no. Not hung. Hanged, yes.

I have so many more, but unless I stop now, I'll be taking up five mor pages! ;)

Re: Favourite Quote?

How sad is it that I hear all these when I read them?

Mycroft: our hands are tied
Sherlock: She'd applaud your choice of words
John (snark) Treat her like royalty - though not the way she treats them.

MH: Sherlock Holmes, put your trousers on.

Re: Favourite Quote?

So this imaginary location can be anything? A house or a street?

Yes.

He said palace! He said it was a palace!

Yeah, Well he would, wouldn't he?
