All but the most recent recs are in the first two posts of the Masterlist
People who come here for recs shouldn't have to search through a second thread for a pointer to a story that sparks their interest. Speaking only for myself, I appreciate anyone taking a few seconds to include a pointer in their rec. That's why I started this thread, to make it easy for people to find good stuff to read.
There are newbies on the forum all the time, people who may not even realize what the master list is, or even that it exists.
True. Was just pointing it out is all

I've recently finished reading the Sherlock/John AU fanfic series The Faithful Compass, which includes "Back in the Day" and the sequel "One Fixed Point in a Changing Age" (this one is still a WIP). And...wow, this person can really write! The story and the relationships are incredibly well done! I didn't think I'd enjoy an AU fanfiction quite this much, I'm highly recommending it to those who haven't read it

I have stopped subscription cause I lose track between chapters. Will re-read the whole thing when complete

Same with me. But it's worth reading it again.

Me, too. No WIPs for me. Too many are left orphaned. And even the ones that are finished are released soooo slowwwwly, I have to reread a couple of chapters back to get up to speed, to remember what was going on in the story, before I read anything new. No fun.

The Curious Case of the Howl in the Night
My subtitle:
"We cannot giggle. It's a s** scene."
I know this is on the masterlist already, but I'd like to say just a few words in praise.
How can a story be so hot and hilarious at the same time?
I really enjoyed it.
And to all who are concerned: I read it this Friday only

I would love a masterlist that includes (at least) a selection of our comments

Thanks to a tip from Mattlocked I'm reading the "Two coffees" series at the moment. It's fluffy.
(It's also on the masterlist.)

My current read is quite enjoyable and a little bit different. It's in a series format called Songs of Expedience
Post-Reichenbach, each story is in a different POV

I just read it....oh my
I also recently finished reading "Hallowed Eve"
I could not stop laughing! It was so funny! And yet strangely adorable too, I could not stop smiling or facepalming...oh Sherlock, teehee
I've just started reading Performance in a Leading Role (on chapter 5 now), after having heard good things about I decided to give it a go. I wasn't sure at first, reading something so AU, but I am enjoying it very much! It's quite good so far

I keep hearing about PIALR also. But AU's are really not my thing. Should I give it a try anyway?
