Thanks! Just so I know I've got the right one, is this it?

Yes. My memory is getting worse and worse, obviously

Ok, thank-you for the suggestion! I'll get to reading it right away! I predict a long period of reading lots and lots and lots of Sherlock and John fanfiction ahead....

Oh, I've read that one, too, and I love it!!
Actually, I have an "ivyblossom"-folder on my Kindle and I think I've read them all. (so hard to remember after some months..... )
The Quiet Man is also very recommendable!

Oh dear...I've across another Jonlock fanfic I want to read, "The Heart In The Whole", now I don't know which one to read first! That one, or "The Quite Man"...gah! They both look good, hmmm....

I have also a way too full reading list
Glad you enjoyed it
At the moment I'm reading Sherlock Holmes' Diary by errantcomment. General audience, funny, wild.
Author calls is a "fusion for Sherlock and Bridget Jones' Diary". Haven't read the later, so
I'm quite fond of fluff, angst and hurt/comfort as in The Road, but offer me a good little comedy, and I will never say no.
This is such comedy

I will soon! I just finished reading "The Heart In The Whole" ...it was awesome , I was going to read "The Quiet Man" (I now notice I mispelled that earlier, stupid typo >.<), but now I see another Johnlock fanfic written by the same person who wrote "The Heart In The Whole" and "The Road Less Travelled"...gah! Same dillemma again! Still...I am blazing through this fics really fast, so I will get them ALL eventually ...Sherlock fans really are an awesome fandom, one I am proud to be a part of!

I'm in the middle of The Paradox Series by wordstrings:
It is breathtaking and disturbing and touching all at the same time. I think she (?) is extremely talented, and in this series she paints a very dark picture of Sherlock. He's always on the verge of being insane, but so is John, and it fits perfectly.
You should read all the warnings, though!

I love wordstrings' work. She's also writing "All the best and brightest creatures" I recommended elsewhere and does the vintage slash stories (thanks for the term, KP) as Katie Forsythe. But true, it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Oh, yes, I'm following "All the best and brightest creatures", but have not read the last chapter yet. She's fantasic.

When you have finished it, could you let us know if it is worth reading without the last part?
Offline
Of course. It's so faszinating that I'll surely finish it soon!

I've just finished reading yet another AMAZING Sherlock fan fic, greatly enjoyed it! Now I've come across another one I'm thinking about reading, "Ten Days" by Engazed...I'm assuming some of you here have read it and I'm wondering if it's any good? No details in case I do decide to read it, I'm just curious

"Ten Days" is very good but also very disturbing. I recommended it some time ago but with a very big warning for torture and violence.
Offline
Ten Days was indeed very good; but as Susi said it's rather disturbing and intense. The torture John is put through is described quite graphically.

I came over this story again a few days ago. I appreciate this author's writing style a lot. It's so shocking but you can't stop reading.
