Hey!

I'm editing this 1st post to put all my vids in one single post (so that people don't have to scrowl down to see the newest vid hehe) So, the first vid is my lastest one and the last one (boys don't cry) is the first one i'd ever made. I hope I kinda improved between the two, lol. (you can find a better description of each video when you scrowl down this thread)

LESTRADE vs SHERLOCK/JOHN: UNREQUITED LOVE

The man fascinates him. Lestrade's been secretly in love with Sherlock for years. And even if he realises Sherlock loves someone else and that his "chances are few", he decides to confess his love ...

I am not a Sherlock/Lestrade shipper (I do ship Johnlock though, hehe), nor do I think it is a possibility that Lestrade loves Sherlock, but truth is that I love this song, wanted to make a Johnlock video using it, and immediately thought of Lestrade (though Molly could have done the trick as well!) so here you are!

John still loves Sherlock, but the latter took him for granted, and catching Sherlock flirting with Irene Adler was the final straw. John leaves, Sherlock pretends to be fine but he just can't imagine living without him...

Wow, this is beautiful. You use the lyrics to emphasise the images very well. BTW, Rupert is a good-looking man and has always been. Check out "Maurice".

Thanks I'm glad you like it, and I'm even happier if you think the lyrics and images fit well That's what takes me the most of time because I have to think about which scene could perfectly fit to the words and then makes not too long not too short, just in time with the words. Oh, and when I watched the result, I almost felt pity for poor Greg!

And yeah, you're right Rupert's quite a hottie. I think each character's (well, actor! but I'm talking "globally" here in Sherlock) got (physically) a certain something (when they're not totally hot like benedict, hehe!), even Moriarty and Mycroft. Oh, and John is SO charming.

I haven't seen Maurice and don't know what it is about, but when I browsed through youtube to find things which could have been useful for my video (that's where I found "Take a girl like you" and cut scenes that could interest me. Actually used a few in this vid), I saw one from Maurice in which Rupert was this a guy and, well... It looked like very interesting

I'm thinking about doing a new video a little funnier (well, not a hilarious crack vid, just a more light-hearted one because those two were kinda sad) about Sherlock and John, using A Hard day's night by the Beatles. Ideas so far:
"You know I work all day" >> showing John sleeping at work
"To get you money to buy you things" >> showing John taking the cheque Sherlock has just refused in The Blind Banker.
"But when I get home to you, I'll find the things that you will make me feel alright" >> first, I'd use the scene of the head in the fridge, and then I'd use the moment Sherlock shoots at the wall.

Anyway, like I said in the description, I don't ship Sherlock/Lestrade, but making this video made me feel like writing a fic about Lestrade. I already have a couple of ideas in mind. So next fic's gonna be Lestrade "addressing" to Sherlock after RBF. He believes him dead and opens his heart, says how much he hated him (for obvious reasons. Mostly because Sherlock made him question his whole professionnal life) but also how much he admired and loved him too (for less obvious reasons) even though he'd have never admitted it. How he doesn't want to believe Sherlock was a fake too. Can't wait to write!

As for "Maurice", it's a beautiful film about (male) love in the early 20th century with James Wilby, Rupert and Hugh Grant, based on a novel by E.M. Forster. I just ordered the DVD as it's years that I've seen it.

@susi: Yeah, I figured out while watching the scene I mentioned earlier that it was indeed male love hence why I said I found the scene well, very interesting hehe! But if the story's any good, then that's great bonus!

Well, I don't know if I can post these here as these are not Sherlock fanvids, but then I don't know in which part of the forum I should post them. Oh, well, if there's any problem with this, just tell me.

Here's just a scene I cut from Stuart a life backwards because I found it sweet and couldn't find it on Youtube. It shows Benedict and Tom singing along to "You're gorgeous", by Babybird.

And this one's got nothing to do with Benedict or anything, it's just a tribute to my husband.

A very warm and heartfelt video. It's good to see that in spite of everything that happened he could feel joy when being with your son and that you have these memories for both of you. And the quotes from Le Petit Prince are beautifully chosen.

@Mary: you're kidding me! Your French is great! I was surprised to read your answer in my language, I wish I could do the same in German, aber mein Deutsch ist miserabel

@susi: well, most of the clips with him and our son were before his depression and all his suicide attempts. He already had his paranoid illness though (since childhood) only we didn't know it was an illness at that time. And Le Petit Prince is one of my favourite books, and I thought those words were beautiful. Plus my son refers to his dad as "papa étoile" (star daddy) and asks me to show him the sky before going to bed, and he's like "Mummy, look at that star there! It's really shiny! Maybe it's daddy! Goodnight daddy!" so I thought St Exupéry words were even more appropriate...

I've made a new Sherlock vid but I don't know, it says it's not avalaible for Germany due to copyrights. Why Germany? No idea. (oh, and for mobile phones as well... Grrrrr....)

Here's a new one I've just made on Third Star. (spoilers, beware)

I really put much effort into this, to choose which clips to use, how to string them together "smoothly" (choice of colours, landscapes...), how to fit the song, the lyrics, of course, but also what you can hear in that song (i.e: you can hear the wind blowing and I've put the scene of a seagull for example). I also tried to give an all symbolism, i.e at the end, when after he drowns, I used the scene with him catching a feather to show he is now relieved from pain and as light as a feather, ready to fly away, then I used the wild horses scene to symbolise freedom. Get the idea?

Well, if you want, just see for yourself!

And here are the lyrics to the song, Asleep by the Smiths, I think it really fits the story:

SHERLOCK SILENT FILM - THERE'S AN EAST WIND COMING

The story basically follows the show's plot until John and Mary wedding. Sherlock leaves the party early. He is so desperate he goes to a bar, gets drunk, gets in a fight and ends up in a drug den. The following day, John comes into the drug den to help his young neighbour Isaac and falls face to face with Sherlock. He takes him back to Baker Street where they have an argument, and John leaves. Later, Sherlock receives a strange text from Mary asking him to meet her at Magnussen's office. There, she tells him she has discovered he knew all about her secret past life and fake identity. She is so afraid John learns about her secret too that she shoots Sherlock. John, who had followed his friend, arrives a tad too late and Sherlock dies in hospital...

(and yes, i know my piano cover at the end sucks! )

My (crack) explanation of how Mycroft has upset Mummy, like Sherlock says in A study in pink. This is just for fun. No offence meant !! Clips are from Sherlock and The League Of Gentlemen:

Another one!

Basically, this one was made mostly to get more used to Vegas Pro 12. I wanted to make a Sherlock vid "trailer" like vid. It obviously has some flaws though I personally like the way the part about John telling Sherlock he is getting married turned out...

Please, do not pay attention to the couple of awkward transitions, nor to the weird voice I used for the voice over (I used a "type and hear" website)
