Why miss out Y?

Let's see. In north Eastern Thailand it's considered rude to ask why. It's taken as an insult to someone's understanding of reasoning. If someone has shared information with you that should be good enough without you belittling them with questions of why.

Antiques Roadshow - he dislikes how people already have a rough value of their items but lie and pretend to be shocked when told it's worth a decent amount.
