I was just thinking they should give him the same voice in Sherlock as in Star Trek. Really much better.
I don't recognise Kirk as Sherlock's German voice. Too long ago.

No, I'm a Trekkie since my childhood - TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY... and I also enjoyed the relaunch of Star Trek very much. I don't mind, that it is more action and maybe a bit less Star Trek philosophie.
So, for a Trekkie like me it is a lucky coincidence, that Benedict is part of the new movie.

Me too! Met my husband at a Trek Dinner some *mumble, mumble* years ago. Have you deliberately left out "Enterprise"?

Good observation! Yes, I didn't mentioned ,Enterprise' on purpose. I dont't know why, but I never get used to that Spin-Off. But to be honest, I have only seen a few episodes of that series until now. When it was first aired on TV, I mist it because of too much other things I had to worry about at that time (end of my apprenticeship). And than I never really looked out for a rerun. Well, mayby I'll give it try some day.
Ah yes, Trek Dinner. We had a small Trek Dinner with some friends at my home town when I was a tennager. We met regulary for a few years, until end of school, study, apprenticeship... well life drift us apart. Was a good time!

When Enterprise was aired, I really, really wanted to love it, but somewhow that never happened. I was looking forward to Scott Bakula, I didn't mind the idea of a prequel, and still ...
The final season was better, when they were giving all those nods to TOS. *sigh*

"Cumberbatch, whose cool, bassoony baritone has seldom been put to better use than on lines like: “You can’t even break a rule, Mr Spock. How could you be expected to break bones?” (from "The Telegraph")

Wow. I read some Tweets from the press conference today. Seems like he entertained the whole room. Alas, his hair doesn't look so nice. Too much product instead of Sherlock curls.

I only see that there are some buttons of Benedict's shirt undone...

Some? Nearly all, I'd say.

I'm sure she'll take care of it perfectly.

The same cannot be said about me. I'd do the opposite of what was asked....

Looking at the remaining buttons the others seem not to be "undone". They probably just popped away.

The curious case of Benedict's lost buttons.
