Re: Star Trek

Exciting, exciting.........................

And each of us will get new, fresh 3D glasses?
Just asking - here you can borrow them, they are worn out, sometimes dirty... and you don't want to imagine who might have worn them already....

What does Reihe +-- Sitz +-  mean?

Re: Star Trek

Yes, fresh, sealed 3D glasses and free choice of seats. We're supposed to be early birds as the performance is expected to be quite full, said the guy at the box office.

Maybe we should camp there with sleeping bags and tents?

I think we have those here as well, they are not new but returned and cleansed glasses.

Re: Star Trek

I just noticed from a German STID trailer that German dubbed Spock speaks in Sherlock's German voice. That's kinda weird!

Well, this is gonna be distracting!  (Especially for me, as I'm used to the german version...)

Re: Star Trek

Random thoughts...

I watched the trailer whose link was posted some screens back: So obvious that Chris Pine is way outclassed as an actor in that scene.  It was like watching a grown-up talking to a child.

As for watching the movie with other board members: KeepersPrice and I are hoping/planning to do that, too.

But, question:  Why, since it's a Hollywood production, is the movie opening in other countries first, before opening in the US on May 17th?  It's so unfair to make us Americans wait so long!   I mean, here is where it all started...

Re: Star Trek

Some of us other Americans have to wait longer Sherli,

That's not to say we won't find other means to view it personally but please don't limit the Americas to your locale as fact.

Think bigger.

That said, I hope you enjoy a spoiler free viewing and that series 3 comes out a year before it hits US TV.

Okay, so they'll understand things like sweaty palms, squealing, hyperventilation …

They just expect me to do the sqealing and hyperventilation stuff for the Starfleet guys... Good thing it's dark inside the cinema.

I've just watched the "I allowed you" clip. Now I don't see how I can hyperventilate for Kirk. Damn.

Re: Star Trek

No problem. It's dark, they'll only hear you and think you're doing it for Kirk. Maybe you shouldn't mention names.

Though... when she says "Oh my god, his voice!" everyone knows who's meant.
edit: just noticed we're going for the dubbed version first, so that shouldn't be a problem

Re: Star Trek

Doesn't Spock have Benedict's voice in the dubbed version? We should go like "Oh, his voice" during both th dubbed and the original versions. Will confuse the hell out of my other friends.

Re: Star Trek

Though - at yesterday's premiere in Berlin one of the female moderators suddenly was raving about one of the actors: "Oh god, his eyes - oh god, his mouth!", and I was wondering who the heck she was talking about.  It took me some seconds to find out that it was Chris Pine she nearly fainted at..

So - no problem to thud righteously as long as Kirk and Ben are in the same scene.

Eyes? Mouth? Could have been Benedict as well.  As for the voice … well … they're poles apart.

So you'll have to watch them all over again on the Net. And then … next week …

Miss Camembert will be joining us as well - so there's at least four of us who will be watching the movie just because of the baddie...

Re: Star Trek

Yesterday I was watching the movie because of the movie, NOT because of the actor.
Next week it will be the other way 'round.
