Hello there!

New to the board, but not a new Sherlock fan here. The obsession has been building slowly over the last year or so, and now it's pretty full blown - I haven't liked a show enough to join a forum online since I was a teen (and that was decades ago). I'm in Phoenix but originally a New Yorker. So far the only people in Phoenix who I can obsess over about Sherlock are my coworkers, one of whom is married to a Brit, but he's more into Doctor Who than Sherlock. Anyway, I'm going to London next month for my yearly birthday trip, and I can't wait to stop by North Gower St. and see if I can bump into the film crew, especially the 'Batch. Here's hoping! And it's lovely to see so many like-minded fans here.

Amanda

Re: Hello there!

Hey Amanda. Do let us know if you manage to arrange a trip to London. I'm hoping to make board meet ups a regular thing after the last success!

Re: Hello there!

Hi, Morning Lemon --
Welcome to the forum. Envious that you're in London.
I have fond memories of Pointe South Mountain in Phoenix.
By New York, do you mean city or state?

Re: Hello there!

Hello, Amanda!  I'm in the Phoenix area as well.  We should get together for lunch sometime for a mini-meetup where we obsess over BBC Sherlock.

Re: Hello there!

Sorry it took awhile for me to respond!
Veecee - By NY, I mean NYC! One of the boroughs.
I had a great time in London. I managed to be there just as they were shooting the first episode of series 3 at St. Barts, so I got to watch two days of filming. In fact, I completely rearranged my plans so I could sit outside St. Barts and watch! I figured, well London and Oxford will always be there... but the cast and crew of my favorite TV show won't! Luckily my best friend was very obliging and agreed to ditch our plans to stand, freezing and in the rain, for about 18 hours (split into two days) to watch. And we also happened to be staying near St. Paul's Cathedral so it was a very fast walk from our hotel to the hospital. We also made the pilgrimage to North Gower St. and had lunch at Speedy's, and took photos on the street outside.
