Thumbs up to us non-native-speakers!

Really, I think the language here is wonderful. I've seen German forums where Germans wrote so badly I couldn't stand it.
And even though here there are mistakes and minor misunderstandings sometimes, you can see that everyone is trying to keep it at this level.

So, actually it needs to read: Thumbs up to everyone!

Am yet to come across a non-roman alphabet based writing system in this thread. Let's have some Thai script, Japanese kana, Korean hangul, Indian sanscrit, Chinese hanzi, Russian cyrillic script, Greek alphabet, Hebrew alephbet, Arabic abjad, Egyptian hieroglyphs, Braille, Blissymbols, Tengwar, digial binary, and morse code.

That was from wikipedia; article on Tengwar - the font found in the LOTR. passage is a transcription from universal declaration of human rights. Obviously I can't read Tenwar myself but I was thinking, if the actual Universal Declaration was written in Tengwar, people might take it more seriously than they do now

Una fan española, que alegria, hola!!!!! En el canal Neox de Antena 3 emiten la serie los miércoles por la noche, ¿la sigues? la primera vez que me enteré de la serie fue gracias al canal de televisión catalán TV3 pero no le hice ningúm caso, creí que era una serie más de sherlock...pero no, me equivoqué, ahora estoy tan enganchada por su buena calidad audiovisual, por el personaje , el actor y las tramas que incluso me he registrado en este foro, y no me registraba en uno desde hacia muchísimo tiempo.

I'm from Spain and I live in Catalonia, where we speak two languages Spanish and Catalan. TV series "Sherlock" was broadcasted on the Catalan public TV channel and as we usually use dubbing for all foreign films and series, Sherlock also speaks Catalan!!! ;)

Ich finde es sehr interessant auszuprobieren wieviel ich von anderen Sprachen verstehe.
Und jetzt komme ich mit gerade sehr komisch vor, weil ich auf deutsch schreibe. .. ;)

Okay, let's see if there is another Danish speaking, or ....., who understands this here.

(Danish and Swedish are quite similar to German, and I learned a bit Swedish, so I tried..... )
