All the last ones are really, really great.
The book of kells - so well done.

Re: Fan art

I never gave Sherlock-art very much attention before because I thought it would be silly and I probably wouldn't like it. But after I had a look at your posts I  became curious and I must admit that after I gave it a try I like it very much. All of them. It reminds me of discussions on this forum about "real Holmes" and which adaptation is best.
If you look at all of them you see that each artist has a special Holmes or Sherlock in his mind. Cute, strong, dark, childsh, smart, funny, vampire or otter, in love or alone....
I wish people would be more tolerant towards anybody elses opinion.

I like this one:

Re: Fan art

Ok… this is almost a little bit unfair.  Is the man awesome with almost everything??  ;P  ;)
Sings, acts, …and draws Sherlock sketches…..   (a link instead of pics, because they're a nice size there, and my image site would shrink it a bit…)

Re: Fan art

I actually preferred the last one he did, but sorry, don't have a link for it.

Re: Fan art

So I'm reading a regency novel (I need to rest my brain sometimes) and the hero enters :

"The Earl had thick black hair, a thin face with high cheekbones that gave him an almost Slav appearance, as did his bright blue eyes, which had a black rim round the pupil and a slight slant at the outside edge. He was tall and well-built and immaculately armoured against the world in Weston's tailoring, sparkling Hessian boots, and one of the most intricately tied cravats the servants had ever seen".

Guess whom this made me think of?

Re: Fan art

This ist the "skin" my son chose for his Minecraft computer play. Nice to see that Sherlock's represented there as well.

No kidding....  especially the way they made it work better than it would have in other styles, with the watercolor soft/stark minimalism, seeing just enough to know it's him.  Love it....

Don't make people into heroes John. Heroes don't exist and if they did I wouldn't be one of them.

And the worried expression was perfect. I even liked the choice of John's eye color-- he has a peculiar dark blue hue to his eyes. Lovely work.
