Good morning all! =)  Just finished watching the new Star Trek trailer.... my god his VOICE I think watching Star Trek Into Darkness is much more fun if you're on the evil side. For now.

Mary, if the voice makes you thud, have you listened to the Jaguar advertisements he did? OMG.... hotness. You can start here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5kCfXIPcfw   This one is truly thud-worthy-- IMO it focuses much more on images of him than of the car, lol.

You can try these technical ads, too-- all beautiful BC voice, all the time! If you never wished you were a steering wheel or the start button of a car, you will after seeing these. Naught to sixty in 4.2 seconds indeed....

OMG. Can I replay him saying "adrenaline junkie" over and over and over....please?

Just curious. What do they do in non-English-speaking countries when you go to see an English-language movie? Is the soundtrack left alone and the native language run as subtitles? I mean, they don't dub out the voices, do they?

Well, usually it's dubbed of course. But for big films (like Hobbit and I assume Star Trek too) you also have the chance to watch them in english, without subtitles.
Just keep in mind: Almost every film gets dubbed here. But the german synchronisation is really really good - every german word matches the move of the lips.

Here, we just get subtitles, thank God. I hate dubbed movies. I hate subtitles too, but what are you gonna do. They're preferable to dubbing and sadly, most of the population of this country speaks English worse than my dog.

You make me curious as to what language is being spoken in your country. Aren't you a native speaker? Well, I cannot judge the dubbed versions in other countries but here in Germany the dubbing is pretty good. If it wasn't for Benedict's voice it would be normal for me to watch Star Trek in german.
Though "I'll walk over your cold corpses" wouldn't have the same effect in german.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Thank you very much, one of my favourite moments.

Mary: The voice isn't right, but the translation "kalte Kadaver" is quite original.

I don't come here for a week because I'm sick and feeling weak, and now I come back and there are approx. 30 new pages...I'd better leave at once or I'll feel weak again.

You know what, neither have I and I don't plan to. I'll just go watch Star Trek 2 and bask.

Looking at pics like this will make you feel weak -- in the knees!

I've never seen this kind of hair on him before, BTW.
