Metro PBS Interview with Benedict

This private interview took place before the recent PBS Q&A session. Some really interesting remarks and thoughts from Benedict.

Re: Metro PBS Interview with Benedict

An interesting insight into the thoughts processes of an actor. The way in which the development of a character for a certain role can sometimes spin to 'everyday' life such as with his role in Tinket Tailor Soldier Spy. The way he sees Sherlock as a develpoing personality is also fascinating, notably his suppression of adolescence because let's face it at lot of the time Sherlock does act like an adolescent. I also love some of his purely British expressions.

My only really negative comment is that all the ums, errs etc. were left in from a clearly recorded interview and there was no real capturing of the 'feel' of the interview or Benedict's personality from the journalist. It comes over pretty much as a straight transcript.

Don't make people into heroes John. Heroes don't exist and if they did I wouldn't be one of them.
