Hello, my name is Edward G. Brown. I'm the author of 365 Days of Verse, a collection of sonnets. I wrote one a day for a year. One of them is about Sherlock Holmes.
I recently (and quite late I know) finished seasons 1 and 2 of Sherlock. I'm a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes, and enjoy the show, though I think it has some problems. All in all I like it quite a bit.

Enjoy the journey of life and not just the endgame. And I'm also a great believer in treating others as you would like to be treated. (Benedict Cumberbatch)

How nice to meet an author. Is your book sold in the USA? Can you print the sonnets abt Sherlock here, at least part of it? ? Welcome to you!!

Thanks for the welcome! It is indeed available online all over. Here's info on how to get it:
I'm trying to get it into more book stores. One quirky thing is that the books are in an odd shape, and some booksellers are reluctant to try and shelve it. Who knew!?
I will look for the one on Sherlock. As I wrote these a while ago, I remember writing it but I need to find it. I have 365 to go through, so it may take a little time.
Cheers!

Thanks for the welcome Sherlock, and thank you all! I feel very at home here already.
Briefly, my take is that the Sherlock show is very well done, though I can't say it's perfect. I do think there are some spotty bits. Mostly, I think they sometimes try too hard to re-invent what already works quite well. I do understand that updating Holmes to the modern day must have it's difficulties, and I am glad they have done as well as they have. (Especially the use of cell phone instead of pocket watch in the opening when Holmes and Watson meet.)
However, there are some things which really bug me. Adler as dominatrix, for example, I just don't get that. And the signalling lights in the Baskerville being people humping in a parking lot? I am sitting on my fingers from here to avoid typing more.
Here's more of a complete list of my thoughts, which I update from time to time:
