My colleague just looked at me as if I'm crazy, fangirling because of this:

Re: The game is on again (OFFICIAL NEWS ONLY PLEASE)

I can imagine that these two windows will be needed for close-up scenes in episode one. It would be less cumbersome to shoot some exterior parts of the "Empty House" episode in the Cardiff studio than out of the windows of the actual building opposite to 187 North Gower street.

Re: The game is on again (OFFICIAL NEWS ONLY PLEASE)

I immediately had to think of the violin scene at the window after Irene had "died" .....  Now I know where the violin-teacher was.

Re: The game is on again (OFFICIAL NEWS ONLY PLEASE)

So 221 B baker street isn't actually a real place?

I was wondering if you'd like to have coffee...
Hmm. I really don't know. Oh, I'm sorry, did I say 'know'? I meant 'care'. I don't really care.

Re: The game is on again (OFFICIAL NEWS ONLY PLEASE)

*soothing voice on*  Awwww, dear little Molly, of course it is a real place!! It's just..... it's always raining in London, you know, so they rather film some of the outside scenes inside! *soothing voice off*

Of course it is! Only that it's not the place we use to see in Sherlock as 221B.

OK, So they go into the building ( on north gower street) they then cut the film; drive to cardiff and film the rest of it on a fake set??

Yes, and a landlady. And occasional visits from cops and supervillains.
