Can anyone help me? In almost all my "quick post" response boxes, I have no more emoticons - no smileys, no underlines, no italics, no nothing. This has been going on for quite a while. Wah! I miss them. (if I had the emoticons, I would show a crying face here). Even this "Post New Topic" box, right now, does not have them. I see the emoticons occassionally, but they are on that funky strange tool bar that sometimes appears at the top of the reply box. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason why some reply boxes have that tool bar and some do not. Help! I want my smileys back!

Since yesterday, my reply box doesn't show all the tools it used to have. I can't even post pictures. The only possibility to have them back partially is to "quote" (even if I just don't want to - in this case I'd delete the quote in question). Then the reply box would enable me to at least post pictures. It seems that boardhost again is experimenting on us.

The same happened to me. And I can't just copy and paste. A window opens and tells me something about the settings of my browser which I haven't changed at all.

I think the copy and paste thing has to do with allowing scripting programs (Javascipt, Active X) access to your clipboard. It's disabled by default in IE and probably most other browsers. I'm not a technical person, so I'm not sure what the risk would be in changing the setting.

If no one can fix it for you by advising on your settings, and it's still not working for more than one person, then I'll e-mail Boardhost about it...

same on my computer. smileys are working, but no pictures can be added.
but if I edit my message, the icons are there....

Yes, you're right. "quote" and "edit" bring back the icons - weird!

Firefox.
Tried Chrome, IE and Safari as well. Everything's the same.

I'm using IE 8.   I can see the box...the B, I   U,   the smileys,      the   copy/paste thing...it works for me.   Are you all still having trouble?

I copied this from up there-----the puter gave me a box to allow access to my clipboard.   It's NEVER done that before, but I do know why it's doing it.  A) we've got a new tech board by boardhost. B) What you copy and paste does NOT go to your clipboard; because you are pasting it HERE instead of there. C) It will read your clipboard tho...I do not know the purpose of that, but I do advise caution, as it can also read your IP adress to send you SPAM.

That's what it does...it doesn't fill up your clipboard, where ever THAT is. I'm pretty sure on this point, because I do a lot of copying/pasting elsewhere and on my cell phone.

Mine looks like it always did (old style) since I did the opt out thingy in the My Profile, when we had the random blue links problem.

Go onto My Profile. Then Viewing Options. Tis will give you a list. The last is advanced manager, de-select that and all will revert to the old style.

It works.
As long as the advanced manager won't work properly again (it is nice concerning the previewing of pictures) I will stick to the good old style of the reply box.
