Someone will reliably inform us that we don't have hearts!
But - in my defence - there's also this:

I saw him first in Scandal. well, that is a diagnosis, I presume-

Like I already said, my introduction was the sheet scene in Buckingham Palace, and it isn't really a wonder that I continued watching it But I guess I would have continued watching it after the crop scene, too. Just to see what it is about that weirdo who beats corpses.
@tobe: nitpicker! Still the same first scene/place. With "got to know" I meant what kind of person he is, that becomes clear not until the crop scene, when he acted a tiny bit different than expected.
The scene in "Belgravia" with Mrs Hudson is so cute. When he realised what happened to her, his face -> vengeance!

I saw Scandal first without being prepared, so I saw the pool scene first. That confused my quite a lot and it went on jump-cutting...
Still, as Scandal went on, I got all reconciled

I got calm when I heard his voice but the story line wasn´t easy to follow at first, your´re right.

When I watched Pink for the first time, I first assumed Sherlock must be the villain. Some psychopath who beats corpses. And then - what, he is Sherlock Holmes? But that was what made me continue watching. Even without hearing the voice.

I had seen a photo before (Susi's avatar) and knew it was him. Also, that was the 4th episode I saw.
But I find your conclusion quite intriguing.

I had not seen anything of him before the first episode, only a recommendation in the TV guide praising the show with an unusual amount of superlatives.
Needless to say, I found him horribly ugly at first sight. Half an hour later IÂ suddenly realised how nice his shoulders are and then ...Â

Oh, yes. His hands. Again. And fingers. Too. Aww...Â
For me it's the goodnight-picture of today. A very good one, again.Â
