Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

@Mattlocked: Oh, sorry, I forgot. It's just about the mind, never about the heart. But then I'm just sentimental and soppy. *crawling away in shame*

Yep, just a cold, heartless machine.
Caring is not an advantage.
And Steven has told us we mustn't be fooled by tears!

I know. I'm just not intelligent enough to really understand this show.

Well. as he scratches his head with a loaded gun.... I'm not sure.

I know, wasn't that strange?  THAT almost implies that the thing wasn't even loaded.  Huh. That's another basic rule of gun safety never point the gun at anyone or anything you don't intend to kill. Anyone who knew anything about guns, as I suppose Sherlock does, would never scratch his head with the thing, even with safety on and unloaded. This premise of not pointing where you don't intend to kill is DRIVEN into people in gun safety classes. I presume it was a spontaneous thing that BC did that they just decided to keep for reasons of their own.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

He must have been VERY irritated at that moment. John had been in big danger - and he tried to say thank you; nothing he is used to deal with, right? Only possible explanation.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Do you think this ties in with him calling the police by firing the gun in the air?

But when he did that he was alert and in control of the situation. At the pool he realises that he cares for somebody, is in danger and tries to do something he isn't very good at.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Shooting the wall is also something they surely do not teach in gun safety classes.

He’s got a dog. We go to the pub on weekends. I’ve met his mum and dad …

… and his friends and all his family and I’ve no idea why I’m telling you this.

Um, yeah, you're right about that. Ties right in with the never point at what you don't intend to kill--; who knew who was behind that wall after all? In the US, you can be arrested for such behavior, and I presume you can in the UK as well. It was played for laughs, of course. I can only think it's funny if I suspend my disbelief, however.

What do you need, Mrs. W.: shock blanket, chocolate, blindfold?

Well, old houses are made of bricks I guess so it might ricochet not go through. In the US it's mostly gib board.
