When they bump into each other on the street it always makes me laugh the way they just accept that one another are there, not like "oh my God what are you doing here?" Because really neither of them would have known to expect each other there because they were both investigating different strands of the case which hadn't been connected together yet.
Sorry to make all these random posts but I'm on my way down to London for this Sherlock meet up and I'm watching all the episodes back to back on my iPod - having fun!

Yes Sherlock was quite shocked to see John there I think.
And then of course there was the classic Sherlock trying to deduce where in the street Van Coon went; while John was trying to tell him he knew all along.
hehe

Yeah, he looks all confused and says "how can you tell?" Like he's amazed that John could possibly make a deduction that he's not picked up on. Good bit!

It also clarifies Moriarty's later point that Sherlock always expects things to be clever, sometimes they aren't.

Oh have fun by the way at the meeting. I hope you've got your Mycroft brolly with you!

It's like Sherlock couldn't believe that it was possible someone (Lukis) could have written it down and there was no need to be clever at all. The expression on his face was priceless.

yeah this scene was interesting. I don't think Sherlock expected John to be there at all, but I think he WAS glad that john figured out something before he did it. way to go, john!! "that shop...there." John points to the shop. I LOVED it!!

But then that's lovers destiny isn't it?

Oooh Kazza! I can't believe you just said that about "lovers destiny". Are you being funny? If so, I'm loving it!

no would I joke about that? We must have more romance, tender moments and long loving looks in the next series.

Come on...! Stop the Johnlock fangirling...!
I love that scene too, because when they bump into each other I'm always like "What the...?" and they just talk as if nothing happened. As if that was a normal situation. Lol :D

Well it is kinda normal for them!

The scene reminds me of the Grimm's tale "The hare and the hedgehog". Each time the hare arrived, the hedgehog said, "I'm already there!"
