I watched this interview a few weeks ago and now again-he's so great in it.

I know this one is a bit off from the typical theme of the thread, but it made me laugh and I just couldn't resist:

This reminds me of our cat. She loved chasing these red dots (no, we don't own a gun, BTW).

But look at his face.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

I was just on a train when I opened this picture. Staring at the screen - and at the same time listening to Billy Joel from my mp3 player - I wasn't aware that the ticket inspector was approaching me. When I finally noticed him I nearly dropped my phone.
@equiraptor: It's dangerous to post pictures like this - you really can cause a lot of damage!

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Today I was listening to Benedict whilst driving a car …  Glad to say I came home in one piece.

Thanks for posting that. I got about half what he said-- much mumbling and talking too fast without moving his lips (I realize that all we native speakers do that, but his accent! OMG! not to mention the interviewer's accent) and then they were playing jazzy music all throughout that interfered with my understanding much of what was being said. Sigh. Oh, well.... he looked cute. Very young. He's changed some since then, since getting so famous, etc. He doesn't dress like Snoop Dog anymore in public, thank God, not that I've seen lately anyway. I loved a few of his answers that I could understand-- that's he's an optimist and a minimalist, for instance. Yum.

I know what you mean, I listened to it several times and caught more and more along the way, but some stuff I still couldn't catch. However, I found a transcript for it that really helped with the few things I couldn't make out. I don't know if I'm allowed to print the whole thing here, so here's a link to it, which I think should be okay, since it was a video interview and not a print one?

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

harleyq, thank you so much for that link!
I already have been considering today if I might ask one of you "natives" to write it down for me...

I thought of you German gals when I was listening, wondering how in the world you'd get much of it. I 'm a native speaker, and I got about half. Thank god for transcripts!

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

I'm a native speaker and I still didn't catch most of it, so the transcript helped a lot.

This is so funny. You should share it with those who might not look at this particular thread.

OMG, you totally missed one of the sexiest interviews with him

I missed a some of what he said, too, but I enjoyed seeming him made into "the Little Prince."
