Not a fanfic but quite an interesting text on the "John getting Sherlock's phone of out his pocket" scene by Ivyblossom:

8858 views of the Johnlock fan fic thread on the forum. Wow. When I started this thread, I seriously wondered if there'd be any interest in Johnlock at all. This nice response has made me very happy.

And here's another one: To Light Another's Path by BeautifulFiction
This is quite a long story which starts with Sherlock getting sick and John caring for him. In this situation their relationship develops from friendship into something more. Strong emphasis on the dramatic and emotional side, but there is also a case to be solved. Characters are quite convincing. No AU. Rating: explicit.
I finally finished this a couple of days ago. I wonder if BeautifulFiction is actually two authors, because there were two distinct stories there. The first, when Sherlock had the flu and John took care of him at home, was one story, resplendent with true-to-life medical concerns and John insisting that Sherlock was going to have to take care of himself in the future. Then, quite quickly and dramatically, that story line was dropped, and they went off to work on a case, with many well-written action/adventure bits. No more mention of flu or recovering from flu, just the usual not eating, staying up all night, and obsessing that Sherlock always does. I found that bizarre and can't imagine why whoever it is didn't just write two stories. ??? But having said that, I can say that what she/they did write was very well done.

I read her 30 Days OTB challenge everyday. Have you seen the other 17 days? They are brilliant, too.

Oh wow. I've just read Misdialed, which the author of Darkling, I listen recced on twitter. It's an AU where John and Sherlock meet out of time when their phones glitch. Sounds weird but it works. And it's the only fic I've read since Alone on the Water that's made me cry!
WIP though, be warned!

Thanks for the rec, I'll have a look at it. As long as they're updated regularly, WIPs are okay. You always have something to look forward to.

The Thing Is
Oh my god this one is perfect. Has everything all in one fic! Cases, angst, sexy times, BAMF!John, Mycroft being Mycroft...argh. Love.

Fine. I thought I could finally return to reading other things but now … well, I fear it will go straight away on my Kindle.

Once again, my plans were totally, completely, irrevocably ruined! All because of this story, Who. Had planned on decorating the Christmas tree, writing some cards and emails, cleaning the kitchen; but nooooooooo! At 1:00 AM I'm still sitting here reading this story. I hate you!
Loved this line! John, upon seeing a naked Sherlock "locked and loaded" shall we say:
I don't know what to do with that,he thought for a ridiculous, panicked moment before metaphorically smacking himself on the head. Of course you do; you have one, you idiot.

Glad I could help, you guys! You know I only read fanfic so I can find the good ones for you. These are the sacrifices I'm willing to make for you all *whistles innocently*

Haha yeah. There were some great lines in this one.
On another note I finally got an AO3 account invite so now I can subscribe/bookmark WIPs YAY!

Right, one half is done here for altruism, the other half for scientific research

Oh Wholocked, I should be doing completely different things today - Christmas, you know...
Some Donovan like voice is telling me: "Stay away from your Kindle!"
(I just can't remember: Was her stay away advice being accepted? )

I see I'm not only one whose plans for the day have been ruined. This one's really great. Didn't get very far so I've still something to look forward to. Had to laugh out loud when I got to the quote.

(I have to admit I kept on with my tasks and will read it later, in spite of being tempted )

Well, I had some things to do, including eating a very nice Indian buffet when we tried a new restaurant, but later there will be time to read. Now I'll try to work on a certain difficult sentence, Harriet.
