It's a nice thought, but I think he's just steadying himself.
Besley - are you trying to be the voice of reason and ruin my happy little Johnlock observations? Spoil sport!

Hey I had my own Johnlock thought earlier in the thread...but I am just saying it as I see it!

There's one moment at the end of HOUNDS which I like very much:
Sherlock, showing an unexpected humanity and empathy for a devastated Henry.
"There never was any monster."
Makes my heart melt every time...

I'm totally in love with this tiny little moment pretty much at the beginning in TGG, when Sherlock and John talk about John's blog about "A Study in Pink". John asks Sherlock if he liked it and Sherlock... oh, I just love the way in which he answers "No". Cracks me up every time!

I especially love the look John and Sherlock exchange when he enters.
And that bit with 'are we going to see the Queen?'
And ' I'm not the Commonwealth'.
And the part with John's cup of tea.
And Mycroft's "I'll be mother".
And the *walking away* thing.
And ...
No. I'm sorry.
Now that I'm writing. ..
I don't only like one part of the scene.
You're right:
The sheet scene in Scandal, at the Palace.

So many to choose from.. but three of my favourite little moments are from the same scene in SiB, when Sherlock rescues Mrs. Hudson:
- the way he deduces what happened while walking up the stairs.. (the hand..)
- how he checks if Mrs. Hudson is okay, gentle and caring
- afterwards in her kitchen, he puts his hand on her shoulder and she takes it and leans her head against it.. *melts into puddle on the floor*
I also love that moment in HoB when he tricks John into drinking the drugged coffee. The puppy eyes when John looks at him.. changing into a cat eyeing its prey when he turns away again.. just great.
The little appreciative smile to John after he pulled ranks in HoB..
ASiP: "Why would I do that?" - "Because you´re an idiot." - *giggle*
And so on.

Even though SiB is probably my least favourite episode, it has some nice scenes in it - like where Sherlock returns home after John and Mrs Hudson have been searching his room for drugs, and you can almost see his mind working as his eyes move around the room, before he says "I hope you haven't messed up my sock index this time."
Also when he's asking John for Irene's phone at the end, and his simple "please?" That John can't say no to - for some reason I find that touching.
But my favourite scene at the moment is the Mind Palace scene from HLV - I see something new in it every time I watch it.

Oh yes, both moments are really touching..!
I also adore those little moments when we get to see Sherlock appreciating things of beauty or value..
.. like the stars in TGG: "Beautiful, isn´t it?"
Or the teapot in TBB: "Centuries old. Don´t want to break that."
From the same episode: "Some of these skulls are over 200.000 years old! Show some respect!"
He is not as indifferent as he likes to present himself..

I don't think Sherlock ever presents himself as ignorant.

I think he does in the wedding speech..

No, he's just honest.

Well, he says he doesn´t see beauty, and yet he does, obviously..
He says he doesn´t care, but still he doesn´t just let the teapot break but makes some effort to catch it..
That´s what I meant. Maybe indifferent is a better word.. aahh, my English!! ^^
