Curiosity got the better of me.

Good evening.

I’ve not been part of any online community in quite some time… be gentle with me. I brought ‘eye-bleach’ just in case (although I doubt I’ll be needing it as I have already seen Tumblr and am now quite desensitised as a result.)

I have been lurking for some time and thought it would be an idea to bite the bullet.

I am a fan of the series; obviously.

I am an actor and a writer… And probably old enough to know better.

(Bring on Series 3!)

Re: Curiosity got the better of me.

Welcome on board, Mnemosyne! I think we have quite a few writers on here as well as lots of other talents/interests. The most common is, obviously, Sherlock.

Welcome!  Aren't we all old enough to know better? Well.... most of us should be.

Re: Curiosity got the better of me.

Hello, Mnemosyne. Welcome to the support group of people who should know better. I don't think you will need a lot of eye-bleach here, but some of us use smelling salt now and then.

Re: Curiosity got the better of me.

Welcome, Mnemosyne, nice to have you on board. I guess we all should know better and decided to ignore it. And the smelling salt is quite useful after all (says about the only person who really owns a bottle ). But most of the time it's out of reach.

Re: Curiosity got the better of me.

Hello again, thank you all for the warm welcome.

I've ordered my own smelling salts, as recommended (I tried to find SusiGo's but you are absolutely right it *is* out of reach, best get my own  .)

... but there may be some new players now. It’s okay. The East Wind takes us all in the end.

Oh, Susi is kind in general and hands it to whoever might need it. As long as she isn't lying on the floor and can't get it. ;-)

Welcome to the forum! Plenty of opportunity to exercise your Sherlock memory muscles here.

Don't make people into heroes John. Heroes don't exist and if they did I wouldn't be one of them.

Indeed!

However it is nice to see such love for a series on an international scale. I didn't notice at first but now I keep looking at where everyone is from in their posts. The range is staggering.

Re: Curiosity got the better of me.

A belated welcome. Sometimes it takes me a while to go through these, what with all the other Sherlockian activities in my life (seriously, there's a lot). But yes, nice to have you!

We'll be having a board meet up in London in March if you're available.
