Sort of. He's just been blown up in a WWI trench. But it wasn't orange.

Then ignore everything he says...

But his hair was. *runs away laughing before someone can hit me*

He was blond!

Well, it was yellow, I'd say. This happens when you don't use a strong enough solution of hydrogen peroxide to bleach it, especially with darker hair colours. I'm speaking from experience.

Yellow to match the gas?

LOL Now you're getting a bit cynical.
I suppose they simply didn't use the right dye for his hair colour. To change auburn hair into a light blond you'd need a 9% or even 12% hydrogen peroxide solution if I remember correctly. Sherlock would know, he's by far a better chemist than me.

Down at the orange end of the yellow spectrum, IMO. It's hard to take dark brown/auburn hair and bleach it like that and make it look natural. Plus I don't think anyone was trying very hard. IMO every movie he was in where they wanted him blond (is it the light skin and pale green eyes that make people think he "should be" blond that makes them do that to him? thank god the Sherlock people had more sense), they botched the color. Just my opinion. I know some folks don't see the hair color as important. And here's me, I can barely stop talking about it. Beating a dead horse, etc. I just hope the blond phase is gone forever.

I would have allowed you to use the word 'lame ' there!
EDIT: sorry, cross posting!

Me, too. Gross, that brassy orange. OK, promise, I'll shut up about the hair color now. For a while. heh

Would you please appreciate that I chose a b/w pic so you don't see the colour?

EDIT: darn fast posting and slow internet!

I'm afraid it'll be back with the Assange film unless they decide to go for the albino look

Yes, exactly my thought. And with Assange they'll have to be exact because everybody knows him. So it'll be the washed out look, I'm afraid.

I think it could work well.
