13th Warrior

Just watching the 13th warrior which was made a while ago now, 1999, but which I find hugely enjoyable. I love good historical fiction/films and this has some marvellous touches. I particularly like the way Antonio Banderas's character begins to understand what the Norsemen are saying. Also some of the camerawork and scenes are wonderful. It's a bit gory in places but if you haven't seen this film I can thoroughly recommend it.

Don't make people into heroes John. Heroes don't exist and if they did I wouldn't be one of them.
