Well, for me it's always been about their relationship and not so much the mysteries they solve. For me, the mysteries serve the relationship not the other way around. They're interesting to watch, but it's the friendship that really hooked me, those great little scenes between the two of them. And, I can't wait to see the look John's face when Sherlock reappears. It's gonna be huge!

Oh lord, I hope you're right harleyq. I have terrible fears that the Moftiss will take great delight in somehow thwarting our most anticipated big moment of the next series. I have not been a regular follower of Doctor Who, but somehow I managed to see a video, or excerpt of the episode that had an anticipated emotional meeting between the Doctor (David Tennant) and his companion Rose. Huge long shot of them running toward each other, arms outstretched, ready for the big embrace, the audience is on the edge of its chair; when BAM, out steps a Dalek and shoots one of them down. No end of viewer frustration for this anti-climactic moment and I blame Moffat totally for it. Why, oh why, do I have the feeling he's going to pull something like that on us in Sherlock. I like to think Gatiss wouldn't mind giving us something to cheer about, but I don't trust Moffat one bit.

They will try and stick to Canon as much as possible.

I don't watch Dr. Who KeepersPrice, but what you described doesn't sound like a happy moment for viewers. And, I don't know much about canon for Sherlock, but I can only hope we'll get some kind of satisfactory reunion between Watson and Sherlock. I mean, the resolution to series 1 was pretty decent, so here's hoping this one will be at least as good. So, I'm still going to put my faith in the Mofftiss until they prove otherwise.

This scene in TRF is one of my favorites in the entire series.. It starts at 58 min and lasts for about 2-3 minutes.. A very interesting thing about this scene is that for these 2-3 mins, Sherlock doesn't utter even a single word. There's an exchange of dialogues between Kitty, John and Moriarty...but Sherlock stands completely silent..... However, his facial expressions alone rock this sequence..I think Benedict did a terrific job here...He seems to be just quietly observing and figuring out..just observing and figuring out....He looks a little surprised when Kitty tells him about Richard Brook story, but then his face says that he's just figured out the entire Moriarty plan from this moment onward...And now he knows exactly what he has to do next...I completely loved the way Benedict enacted this difficult scene through just his brilliant expressive eyes and varying facial expressions.. I am attaching a few pics here..

Well observed, Monitaa, this is a wonderful scene. And the tiny moment when Sherlock's and Jim's eyes meet and Jim lets his role slip and you see the silent understanding passing between them.

Yes, they both give a display of superb acting abilities here. In fact, this entire episode is all about the way these two interact with eachother. Be it the tea scene, this one or the rooftop one, their eye-to-eye interactions weigh more than their verbal communications...

After the old woman dies in TGG, I always think John wants to reach out and touch Sherlock's shoulder to offer comfort at that moment. But he doesn't quite dare, so he settles for the back of Sherlock's chair instead
