Woof! Or is that no woof?

The child (who thought he'd deleted the file) is a Sherlock fan, so we had a real laugh about it!
Yes, the file hadn't appeared in the recycle bin, so by definition it still had to be somewhere on the computer. Between us,me and the boy found it!

I have another one to add to my (absurdly long) obsession list. You know you're Sherlocked...
- When your history teacher starts talking about the history behind the theory that the Earth goes around the Sun instead of the other way around, and you burst out laughing because all you can think of is "But it's the Solar System!" and "Do you really not know that the Earth goes around the Sun?" (Just happened in class. My teacher now probably thinks I'm weird. Oh well.)

As long as you didn't shout out "Boring!" everything's just fine.

True, and I was laughing silently, but there's only five people in the class so everyone saw me crack up at a seemingly meaningless comment. My teacher even asked me what was so funny. Oh well, such is the life of a fan. :D
(although I kinda wish I could just shout "Boring" like Sherlock during one of my classes. )

....and shoot the wall!!
Recently I even giggled because a customer talked to me about "a product from the same batch".
Nobody understood...

And I was smiling to myself when in my translation something was "encumbered". And I just did some research in an old German book about German criminal cases of the 1920 and 30s the author of which got quite enthusiastic about Sherlock Holmes.

... when you always have to think of hair colour when someone mentions gingerbread.
As right now reported on German tv:
I think I have to order some.

It's lovely.

I know Grasmere intimately and the gingerbread fairly well.
To be honest, I actually prefer regular gingerbread!
But then I am no connoisseur!

Thank you.
I think I will really give it a try. At least the shop and it's surroundings, the way they do it, the packing - all looked a bit like in a fairy tale.

Grasmere is divine...the heart of Wordsworth country.

Today, at guides, we were drawing faces on eggs and looking after them (I swear the ideas get crazier and crazier) and I called mine Benedict as in Eggs Benedict. So I thought it was only fair to make a mini Sherlock, he's got a tiny deerstalker and everything! Unfortunately does smell of board marker and omelet so I doubt that he is long for this world...

That's brilliant Molly. Are you supposed to look after your eggs and take them back later? Or are you actually allowed to eat your creations?
Offline
Molly, can you post a pic of Egg Benedict?
Offline
Yes, I'd like to see that, too.

Will Egg Benedict be a curate's egg?
