Hi
A friend of mine has been trying for a while to turn me in a Doctor Who fan. When it became apparent that I wasn't very impressed by it, she threw in Sherlock 1 & "2 Box Set, the Secret Weapon. By the time he winked I was already completely hooked. No one was more surprised than me. Not because I think it's not that good, I do (I believe it's superb. It's probably ruined me for any other show and I constantly worry that I might not like Sherlock 3 as much). But I thought I was immune to this kind of obsession.
Well I'm not, and my living room is becoming a 221B Baker St. lookalike. I've got the kettle, the skull, the globe,the teacups, lamps, the knife (yes, the bills get slashed)........

Yep. By the way, while I live in Austria part of the year (in NZ and Shetland when I'm not here) my German is very poor.

Welcome! I'm rather new too, and I'm not a fan of Doctor Who either. But I love love love Sherlock. I watched an episode on Netflix, thanks to a friend's recommendation, then immediately went out and purchased both seasons on DVD. I've steadily fallen in love with the series and with all things Benedict! Glad you're here!

hey welcome tiharoa!! Nice to have you amongst us. So you're not a dr who fan but you love Sherlock? One out of two isn't bad. I love both shows, plus Merlin. You'll enjoy season 3, I'm sure. The powers that be have said it's gonna be just as frustrating as S1 and S2 have been.

Welcome, tiharoa!! Maybe you can get John some nice, new sweaters (jumpers) while in Shetland or NZ.

Welcome! I love Doctor Who but no, it isn't everyone's cup of tea. I haven't watched the last season yet because I love David Tennant as The Doctor so much!
Anyway, I too was surprised by my Sherlock obsession. Even more by my Andrew Scott (Moriarty) obsession but, sadly, it appears I will have to find another character to obsess over.

Thank you everyone . Next time in Shetland I might go sweater hunting and if I'm lucky with the weather get some otter pictures. Yell is a great place for sea otters.
